Surprise, surprise Brett Williams plays with passion and desire .....he was playing for his own showcase....Think back to those games at the beginning of the season and how disappointed we were with his lack of interest. He is probably the most talented player we have but he hasn't shown that on the pitch when he had his chances. Yesterday (IMO) he was playing for a move away from Torquay.
Also wish people would stop referring to Nicho's desire for the players to be very fit as "tyre flipping". That was just a bit of pre season fun and doesn't happen now. I believe the fact that the players are so fit has helped with the quick recovery from injury. Take a look a Youngy back at full training.

After our third goal the team did a sort of dance celebration. Anyone know what it was ?

I will be gutted if Nicho is sacked and I don't want to move from Plainmoor. it would be better to invest in a 4G pitch, so that no games are called off etc.

If possible could someone post template letters of protest to the National League and Torbay Council, so that hundreds of letters can be easily sent .

Dutchgull states that Nicho "thinks fitness is bloody lifting tyres and getting his players to spend all their bloody time in the gym". This is totally wrong. If you are able to go and watch some training sessions at Seale Hayne you would arrive at a better and accurate assessment.
Also Damon spent the months before the season training in America with his uncle's team. He started pre season already very fit and must of passed a medical. Sadly Damon's injury has stopped him playing. The gamble didn't work, which is bad because I thought Damon was having some good performances. It's not the first time Torquay United have taken a gamble on a players fitness.

TUST Not An Option
Was it a good idea for the TUST to spend £2000 to find out the "bleedin' obvious" ? That money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Can Nicholson keep us up
Gus benefited greatly from Nicho's management and training regime last season. Gus was outstanding and look where he his now. I'm confident that Nicho has the up to date knowledge of how to achieve best fitness for a footballer. Injuries happen at all levels of football and some clubs are unlucky to succumb to several at once.....it's not just at Tufc.

Ref missed 3 handballs by Shots players, tells Rens he used his elbow, but doesn't book him and allows them to take free kicks from wherever they liked. When the Ref finally awarded a free kick to the Gulls for a handball, the popside cheered like we had scored !
I actually enjoyed the game for the way the Torquay players didn't let their heads drop, even though things quickly went against us in the form of injuries. It's true that the Shots could have scored at least five goals today.... but they didn't. Hurrah !
IMO Willow had a good game today and showed a lot of skill. Youngy worked his socks off and didn't deserve that booking.

Just went outside in the lovely fresh air of a bright autumn day. Blue sky and gentle sunlight and my optimism soared and then I spied a recently squashed hedgehog in the road. Red blood and guts. Oh no! poor little hedgehog. Optimism crashes and I wonder if this is an omen of todays game.....perhaps I should look for two magpies like Tarrboy 1.....
Got to believe in our team and who knows what can happen. We beat the Daggers and we can beat the Shots.....another battle....I do love matchday !!! Hope the singers are there today.

Youngy - a joy to watch
Brendan - agree with above post.
Damon - another good performance
Snoop - 3 gaol line clearances. He deserves more credit
Verma - pushed the team forward. Also best comedy moment when the ball fell out of his hands behind his back just before he did a throw in...to be fair the ball was slippery !

We all know how important this game is to Torquay United, so lets start with plenty of positive vocal encouragement. Believe we can win and get our hands on the money !!!
