Yes an early goal would have made all the difference.. but I think the players are mentally and physically exhausted.. it’s a good job we had already won the league because given the size of the squad and number of minutes most have played I think we would have struggled in the playoffs..GJ. Will need at least 7- 10 new players next season
It’s been a great season (1 game to go) after years of rubbish.. let’s just enjoy it .. the new season hopefully with GJ in charge will be fun and a challenge

Torquay United v Bromley 20/1/18
I said last week it was the hope that kills , well after today all hope was killed !
Let's be honest Individually the players aren't that bad , they are all probably conference standard.. So why are we where we are in the league...They are not a team , no leadership either on or off the pitch, no passion , if they had one 10th of the passion of the supporters then we would be more accepting (Young aside) of them ,
Yes I know shouting and screaming by the boss only gets you so far ...but a traffic cone has more animation than our manager ! You have to continue to question his tactics , or lack... We are 1-0 down at home in a must win ( which they all are....sorry were!!!) game ...yet it takes till 15/20 mins into second half to bring on a second striker ...why...
You have a player getting some abuse from the fans on one side, he makes another mistake ...switch him to other flank, give it 5 mins then take him off...don't just react to the fans and pull him . You can guarantee O'sullivans confidence is now completely shot!
Just a quick question how many players has owers signed on loan now ? Team spirit is forged by playing together week after week, trusting your team mates ...difficult when you don't know their name or if they are going to be here next week !

Torquay v Eastleigh 13/01/2018 (PP)
It's the hope that kills isn't it , for periods of the game we were popping the ball around on the floor , 1 and 2 touch football, and we looked good , But , it's the lack of a focal point , not necessarily a big target man , but a forward who knows where and more importantly when to make the runs . I still hoped that even 2-1 we could come back , which we should have but...
I can understand the frustration , we all are , we have been served this rubbish for the last 5/6 years , but venting that frustration at the players , albeit at the end doesn't help , This frustration needs to be focuses at the literny of inexcusable boards , or now owner who have settled for "just enough" , just enough funds, just enough experienced players and managers.
will I be back next week, probably , will I hope we can win , yep , will I hope we can stay up , yes .... It's that hope again ....

There was a radio Devon interview with Harrop about 3 weeks ago , where they described him as DOF , I put it down to normal BBC ineptitude .... Doesn't seem the case at all now ,

Forest Green v Torquay new years day 2017
Not a lot I can add to the comments already about the game , I thought we didn't play the wind well in the later stages , too many long balls sailing straight thru to the keeper or going out of play, but a minor criticism .
FGR very friendly club , obviously a lot of money being spent on them but a couple of negatives....when the wind and rain is coming in horizontal to the seats yet you appear to make from what I could see some elderly TUFC fans sit in it , at least for the first half , there was plenty of spaces why couldn't they have been moved further into the grandstand ?
And secondly car parking ...yes you are vegan, and eco friendly but how much fossil fuel was burnt up trying to get out of the carpark and down the hill? That was a shambles ... We turned left past the ground and up a single track road to get back to the M5 longer way around but saved a load of time
But great afternoon , great support and it wouldn't be TUFC if we didn't have plenty of excitement along the way

I've just noticed on the official site that Richards has had fan sponsorship for next season , does this mean he is now staying ?

Well if ever a team was created in the Managers image that was Tranmere today , moaning, gamesmanship or very "professional " you can call it .
Can't believe that Angus wasn't booked , on a another day he would have been when their player throw himself to the floor after Angus pushed him .

Torquay United v Tranmere Rovers
Just heard on the radio that the A38 is closed between at Harcombe bends , Lorry has overturned and its not expecting to reopen till this afternoon , so anyone coming from that direction might be best to try another route .. This would be all the Tranmere fans as well
Added in 8 minutes 50 seconds:
dont realise that the lorry driver had been killed , crass post , feel sorry for their family

another couple of points
This consortium were ready to go in March but had been turned down
That as we all probably guessed that the club wasn't "debt free", far from it , and that the due diligence had said "not to invest" ! I got the impression that they were all pretty shocked at the some of the financial aspects of the Club
Paul Cox spoke very passionately about wanting to do the job and the sort of person he is, and the sort of player he wants.
Communication both to the fans and internally was stressed.
Briefly touched on both Boots and the Club shop and Steve B agreed that these need to be revenue generating for the club, however they were both tied up in contracts which at present they couldn't get out of. Am I right in understanding that the upstairs bars are owned by the club ?

Guess Cox's first signing
Judging by tonight's fans forum , it's going to be an experienced goalkeeper a thirty something that will also double up as GK coach
