jeez i wish i shared your optimism !!! Without going as far as saying we are in a false position, as the table never lies, we have had a lot of turnaround recently. over the summer we brought in 9 players, since changing manager in august we have since signed 7 more ! never had a settled side.
Branston, i am not a fan of his he has the turning circle of a stobart and can be cumbersome but today he was great. I think getting dropped as given him a kick up the jacksie.
Reid is a typical winger, really frustrates the life out of you, can be brilliant or abysmal. In craig Fagan we have a talent, something most sides in this league lack and we have done really well get him. (selling a 15 year old for 2million smackers helps). At times this season we have looked lost but slowly the signs are there and hopefully if we can keep the loan lads (devitt a class act who didnt play and davies who got sent off) then mid-table isnt out the question and who knows next year

Re: Bradford v Torquay Match Thread

not here to gloat guys, but i think you were unfortunate to come across us during our most determined performance of the season. I wouldnt say it was the best we have played this season but the lads at the back certainly put themselves about more than they have all season. I seemed to think you miss a focal point for your attack and that is something we have struggled with all season. We have had a big lump upfront all season and we have carried no threat whereas today, we had craig fagan who once he gets fit will be a real class act at this level. I must say i was surprised your guys never gave it a real go especially knowing our frailties in defence. Onwards and hopefully upwards guys i think we will both be ok to be honest but whether that is down to how bad plymouth and hereford i dont know

just behind the main stand is the ground memorial statue. in the car park to the side of the corporate entrance. Always nice a touch to see visiting fans at the memorium.

Depending on what time you arrive there are a couple of options, i have added street names if you have sat-nav

a) around 1.30 you should be ok to get onto midland rd, its the road where you guys are sat. towards the far end of this street there is designated free parking on either side of the road although not many (about 100), you should get parked there at that time. make sure you go to the far end near the refuse site and housing.

b) slightly later or if no room, if you get to the traffic lights at that end of the road turn right and then right again down a small hill you should get parked in front of car salesrooms on there (station rd) note station rd, as there are showrooms on canal rd (a650) but no parking.

c) failing that about ten minutes walk away, still off canal rd (a650) is a tesco, you can park there for 3 hours so if you pull up around half two you should be ok. just pop in buy a bottle of pop for journey home and leave carrier on front seat should be fine. easy to walk from there. look for big retail park behind tesco then up the road that splits the two halves of retail park and the first right along midland rd to the stand your in.

Drinking near the ground isnt great, everything a fair walk away, for those come up between the retail parks turn left at the top to head into the city and just facing you is a new place called the sparrow. shouldnt have problems in there

Have a good day guys, safe journey and enjoy the game

Re: £5 entry Saturday vs Bradford City

Not sure about old Branno, like a fellow sufferer said he seems to be dividing opinion at the minute. Not helped by having a couple of stinkers though having to cover for our wonderful left back time and again isnt doing him any favour . Got himself involved in unsavoury twitter row with a few fans , a couple of not very nice insults and an offer to come see me at the ground or at training ground and tell me that, all schoolboy stuff. Apparently walked out after being dropped before the last home game but returned to be a substitute. All in all an eventful start and considering that some people seemed to think this guy was the answer to all our problems , a disappointing one, though what they expected from a 31 year old who as been at 15 clubs in his career thus far and all in the bottom 2 levels is beyond me.
Safe visit guys and enjoy the game saturday, reckon you'll do us 1-0
