Highest and lowest TUFC away support.

From personal experiences, Hereford away(1-1) March 1984 there was just myself and my Mum and Dad in the away end but there was a few in the seats. Orient(2-0) on New Years day 1988 there was less than 50 but a 11 o'clock kick off didnt help, Burnley away (0-1)on a Tuesday night in February 1990 there was 13 of us and away at Man City (0-0) in the league cup was around 30 in the away end and the police outnumbered us 2 to 1.

SACK NICHOLSON!!

The board have acted in the clubs best interest. Even the legends own fans were starting to turn on him, another defeat on Saturday and another 300+ off the gate at the next home game is something the club cannot survive on. People have to remember TUFC is a business not a legends charity. Mark Yates is where my money for the next manager is, but that is only a guess.

Lavercombe could save the club

[quote="gullable"]the first time I have posted on the forum but as a paying fan I guess I am entitled to a voice. it is this continuous battering of Spiess by a posting minority on here and other social media sites that has promoted me to write. Get off the lads back he has had one poor game and if you sit back and think or have been also to away games you would know that he has for sure made some excellent saves and been down at players feet to claim the ball and made a large contribution to our points tally thus far. In fact as you run through MOTM proposals for the 8 games Spiess's name appears as proposed candidate in 5 of the 8 ...so if a player is amongst our fans MOTM for 65% of the matches played so far, how can we be so keen not to have him between the sticks??? Dan is a good young keeper but to think he is the savior is preposterous to say the least. All keepers at all levels make mistakes.. does some of our posters not watch MOTD ...any week you will see top class keepers earning big money making mistakes.... all players do just a keepers error is amplified. It would be interesting if our posters were on the man united forum when De Gea first joined the club. Lets face it he was not exactly convincing, its only because Fergusson stood by him that he remained in goals.
Can we ALL please get behind ALL of the team, reading criticism on social media will do nothing to boost the confidence of Spiess or any other or our players. Combined we together have a difficult season on and off the pitch, poor wages and club problems are enough distractions, our players will be far better served if we support them all as a team instead of dishing out undeserved critsism.... and for what its worth Saturdays take at the edge of the area was good goalkeeping... it a foul on Spiess all day long....I hope the appeal is successful and the red card revoked. Cox can then make his own decision who he wants between the sticks.[/quote

Lavercombe could save the club

I find this witch hunt against Speiss quite strange among some so called supporters. Speiss and Lavercombe are both young and inexperienced and will make mistakes. Paul Cox see's both keepers in training every day and in my opinion is more than capable to decide who should start games. With Speiss out suspended its up to Lavercombe to keep hold of the position. I personally think we have 2 very capable keepers and don't forget Liverpool also have shown interest in Speiss this year. http://www.nottinghampost.com/Notts-Cou ... story.html

£300,000 Off The Wage Bill

Hayes and Yeading are allegedly paying £250 a week of Benyon's wages. They've been done I think =D

Board resignations in the Herald Express

yeovilgull wrote:Very sad and worrying to see what appeared to be our three most "professional" Directors go at this time. I just there are suitable replacements lined up to help take us forward again.

On the plus side it looks like we may have three more season ticket holders!!

It will be interesting to hear Dave Thomas's take on all this in tomorrow's Podcast.
Dave is on his hols at the moment and when I text him about it he was as shocked as the rest of us.

Bodin

I feel sorry for the mystery benefactor who shelled out the £70k for him. He hasn't given anything to the club in 2 years
I was at York last night and for all his fancy flicks and step overs he can't even do the basics right like passing the ball to a colleague.

Yes Hargreaves has signed some dross and in no way am I defending him. Like anything I expect it comes down to money. I'd be surprised to see Cooper at all, I believe a left back was lined up until Labadie got suspended. Hargreaves see's the players in training and knows what's missing but if you haven't got the money you will struggle to get the right players in, pay peanuts you get poor footballers

The team that started last night and who signed them.
Rice - Ling
Nicholson - Buckle
Pearce - Knill
Downes- Ling
Bodin- Ling
O'conner- Knill
Mansell- Atkins
Harding- Knill
Thompson - Youth
Benyon-Ling/Knill
Enoch- Hargreaves

Only one Hargreaves signing started the game.
I don't think that all the blame can be laid at Hargreaves.
I was at the game last night and we are just not good enough.
Only Rice and Pearce I'd have next season, the rest can go.

119 in the away end tonight giving excellent support to a team that frankly don't deserve it.
