Re: Luke McCormick joins Swindon!!

He's still a good goalkeeper, Still fairly young and could probably cope at this level.

The one thing that I think will break him is the constant abuse he gets, he'll often be in front of the home fans for long periods without doing anything, and in some stadiums he'll be infront of the home fans for both halves.

Re: Opening of Bristow bench

I don't think many Stoke fans will come down for the game..

Also, I'd be surprised if the new stand is full for the game, if it is, then the other 3 stands will be near enough empty.

Thats a stupid analogy, If your child minder was accused of pedophilia, or sexual assault you would leave your child in his/her care because "The case has not come to trial yet, so NOTHING has been proven."

No. I didn't think so.

I know quite a lot of these lads that you're talking about, I used to get to every home game last year and after spending so long with them, I can tell you that you wouldn't meet a nicer set of a lads anywhere else. Yeah for sure they sometimes get over enthusiastic but you have to say that the concoction of beer, passion and too a certain extent showing off to their peers, these sort of things are inevitable.

I've not been able to get to any games this season, But I see there is still the same problem with the majority of older fans acting like mums/dads/grandads to the other kids, Just let them get on with it. If it's not effecting you, who are you to moan?

Need a little bit of help..

Hey guys, I'm currently writing an article for a blog I own (Will leave out the link in fear of this thread closing down due to breaking some advertisement rule)

I'm writing a piece about Torquay vs Burton & the two teams respective success on the opening day, and I'm also going to include an article about players over the last few years for both clubs, the only problem with that is, finding players that still play for both clubs, for Burton Albion I have

Aaron Webster, Kevin Poole, Andy Corbett, Ryan Austin, Tony James & John McGrath

For Torquay I have

Lee Mansell

I need to know players that still play for Torquay and have done since the 2006/2007 season started. I'm fairly sure that Lee is the only one still with us, but I'd just like to make sure.

If the admin or moderators have a problem with this thread, I apologize, Just like to ask for help from fellow yellows. :keepie:

HRG wrote:According to the Chesterfield forum in the away end a woman was shouting racial abuse at one of the flag wavers.

This happened. Around half way through the first half a woman was dragged away by stewards/police.

Getting back to the Family Stand thing, I went in Plainmoor chippy before the match where there where 2 Chesterfield fans, Father and son. The son was going in the away end, but the dad didn't have a ticket so just went into the Family Stand. Proper rude to me in the chipshop, said to him "Well, whatever happens, the best team will win" and he said "Yeah, Chesterfield will" :Z

Shit on it :(
....to TUFC92 we don't HAVE to win this game ! The world will not end if we don't !!!
No, but if we're serious about promotion, we need to brush sides like Burton aside, especially when we're 2-0 up within 15 minutes.

Also, in the interests of not looking really shit, upon hearing the "Stand up, if you love Torquay" chant, please, make like the real slim shady and Stand up.

Re: All we are saying, is give us the awayend!

We could give a section of the popside, closest to the police box to clamp down on missiles being thrown over to the away fans, and a section of the new grandstand for those that prefer to be seated. Give them half the popside, and split it so as you enter the popside from the middle (Marnham Road) they enter through one set of turnstiles, and leave through the same. Home fans that want to be in the other end of the popside (Closest to the family stand) enter through the either boots and laces, or through the same turnstiles as away fans. Obviously some extra policing or stewarding may be required.

Give the away end to the home fans, Home fans use the turnstiles away fans currently use, both for entry and for exit.

The grandstand and family stand to be left as it is.
