Re: Mathieu Manset

If Hereford were looking to get out of trouble then why would they contemplate selling Manset?

Reid from Newport County would be worth a gamble, release Gritton free up some wages. I'm sure Chris Todd would recommend a move to the Gulls.

Re: Hello from Carlisle

Definition of "Chull" from Urban Dictionary:

"buy chull mugs, tshirts and magnets A generally obese **** with a face like a badly bashed 1983 Mercedes. Often is the bane of most schoolyard jokes and rightly so for they are often those kind of fat bo***k brains who think they're amusing-fat whereas they're just obese-fat."

:O

What's Uncle Trojan gunna think of that one!

Re: Hello from Carlisle

Listed below are Carlisle's league results AWAY to SOUTHERN teams:

Bristol Rovers 1 v 1 Carlisle
Exeter 2 v 1 Carlisle
Bournemouth 2 v 0 Carlisle
Plymouth 1 v 1 Carlisle

As you can see they aren't the best travellers when they're out of their northern comfort zone.

Infact, if you count the 2-1 loss to Walsall, they haven't won an away game from Birmingham downwards this season!

Apart from a league difference, we're on an great unbeaten run whilst they have dropped from top place to 9th recently & STRUGGLED to see off BSP TAMWORTH with 2 late goals.........don't know about everyone else, but I'm confident!

Re: home tie to carlisle then

Absolute bore draw that is, possibly the longest distance between clubs in the whole of the Football league, so they must be gutted.

Not surprised with the anti-climax as everytime we have high hopes for a good team it always let's us down.....I mean we'll probably beat them & then have another boring team like Preston away in the 4th.

Bring them on though, last week they lost to Walsall of all teams 2-1!

Re: So, who do we want?

I'd seriously be elated with Wycombe away - that would easily secure us a 4th round spot with a doubt.

Joking aside what about this as a fixture....

Torquay v Arsenal

Buzzin' for the draw!

Re: Benyon in the herald express

Atleast in this point of time we aren't as unlucky as Bournemouth, who earlier this season lost Brett Pittman to Bristol City & now have had their brilliant young striker Josh McQuoid poached off them by Millwall.

Two 20+ goals a season strikers lost in one campaign....atleast we still have our squad intact bar any last minute deals.

Re: Benyon in the herald express

In the Daily Star today it said Plymouth were leading the race for Benyon.

Interesting to read of Reading's interest in the Torquay trio, perhaps we could possibly see one of the three signing for the Royals then getting loaned back out to us for the remainder of the season?

Re: Bid for Benyon rejected!

Would be a complete bummer to lose Benyon now off the back off a brilliant away victory which establishes ourselves as a team pushing for promotion.....also at a relatively low price (Max £70,000 then?) although we can't do a lot more about it.

With Benyon seemingly off, Wroe wanting to leave & the prospect of losing Ellis in January it's very disappointing to see our talented, young squad getting broken up just as our 7 game unbeaten promotion charge is taking shape.

5 o clock I believe is the deadline, no news as of yet? Will certainly miss him but Swindon would definitely be a better move rather than the other two listed club....Please stay Elliot!

Re: Wycombe Wanderers vs Torquay United

Wow, what a truely brilliant performance to silence the highly vocal Wycombe home crowd (ha ha ha ha ha).........it was like being in a bloody morgue. Great turnout from Torquay fans.

We could've had 7 or 8 & Wycombe look completely lost due to our quick, sharp passing that was completely ripping apart their defence TIME and TIME again!!!

Nicholson was brilliant, Oastler didn't do a thing wrong, Zebroski class, Wroe outstanding.....just a brilliant all round performance.

I'm not sure Wycombe were awful but listening to several Wycombe fans they didn't sound very happy! Rendell was well appreciated but came on in the last 20 and looked bright for a couple of minutes before not getting a kick to the FT whistle.

What impressed me was the clear effort players were giving.

As for Wycombe......Dave Winfield was bloody awful!!!

Re: Torquay vs Barnet

Jesus, it's just some music for christ sake. Half of you on here sound like your relatives have been murdered or something.

To be honest, more important things to worry about really, like a shocker of a performance against a team who are notoriously useless away from home.

Last away point in September, last away victory in April 2009, I mean we were lucky to get a point in the end - just fortunate Barnet were bad infront of goal.

Really tells the standard of the league if we're 7th judging on the performances we've currently had thus far. Macclesfield, aldershot, barnet etc.

With Rendell, Carayol, a 100% Carlisle, we would even be around the automatics!

Re: Nicky Wroe on his way!??

Any club that offers "near enough 100K" for Wroe... I'd absolutely bite their hand off. Would be fantastic of the club & buckle to get a sum in that region for a player that clearly isn't worth as much as that.

I wish Wroe all the best but as I stated before it's a gamble for a club to purchase a player that simply wants a move every 2, 3 seasons.

Re: Torquay vs Bury Match Thread

Here come the Bury mob saying how brilliant their team are....we've sooo been here before with over confident Northampton fans painting the picture that because their team is filled with brilliant players they will dick us.

17 year old striker upfront, ability to shed goals....I mean seriously I'm not that worried personally.

We're at home off the back of two positive results & thus shouldn't be under-estimated!
