survey
Ok maybe poor choice of word as I refer to the young adults at work as youth. Young adult then. Other clubs do these not exclusively to students which also happens quite often.

survey
I agree Admiral ref that wasted space behind the Pop. I’ve had this discussion with my mates a few times and I’ve put it in my survey reply.
Also a big one for me even though I’m a child of the 70’s, is youth pricing. There has to my knowledge never been an incentive for the 18-23 year old fans at TUFC. A reduced price ST and reduced prices on the single ticket price would IMHO be a no brainer to attract the fans of the future. Also better pricing for families/family groups. At various away grounds when my kids were younger there were kids for a quid or free with an adult. I know we have had one offs but not a regular saver ticket scheme.
Final point, I don’t believe this survey would have been put out unless they already have some ideas they are looking to introduce or changes they want to make.

Away Kit?
Brave and risky no doubt. But if it pays off and they start selling shirts to non Torquay fans then it’s worth the gamble.
Personally I’d wear and like 3 or 4, not sure about options 1 or 2.

Wellington
I lived in Wellington between 2012 and 2018. There was a fan that I saw a couple of times wearing a Torquay shirt in the town. Don’t suppose that would have been you?

Nicholson interview
No we are not better off management wise than when he came in. BUT are we better off as a club as a whole than when he came in?? Well the answer to that is not clear, unless we are part of GI and know their intentions, and I don't believe anyone on this or any other forum is in a position to answer that.
However, KN is surely allowed to discuss and say whatever he feels necessary as long as it doesn't breach any part of his settlement and I for one would do exactly the same in his position if I felt it would keep my name in the limelight and potentially lead to a chance of my next employment. After all most of us need to earn a living to keep a roof over our families heads.

MOTM - Aldershot
Clarke - some top drawer saves
Young - quality free kick and didn't stop running all night
Higgins - solid performance
Lee - decent
Gosling - added a bit of class when introduced

Shamir Goodwin
Completely agree Jeff, don't think Greavsie would have taken a punt on the first striker offered to him. Hopefully he has torn Bournemouth youth apart and the Gaffer thinks he could cut it at our level!!Jeff wrote:This Goodwin lad seems to have come in under the radar a little. Wouldn't be surprised if the story went something along the lines of Brighton tearing Bournemouth Reserves/Youths apart with this lad at the forefront.
Regardless of how many strikers we've got, Sullivan and Yeoman don't truly cut the mustard and Hawley is miles away from form so having this lad as an option from the bench isn't an issue for me.

Predicted first starting 11 for Hargreaves
Don't think that there will be much change from last weeks line up to be honest, with the exception of maybe a start for Stockley. Greavsie will have relied on Geoff Harrop a lot this week and that line up almost delivered last week and hopefully will today.

Stick / Banter ...
I too live in Somerset, don't get any stick here really, but then most people round here seem to be egg chasing Chiefs fans rather than footy fans!!
My kids live in Plymouth, are proud to be Gulls fans and season ticket holders, and best of all take great pleasure in telling other kids at school that they are real fans that watch real football, unlike the hoards of premiership fans that they go to school with that watch their teams on telly!!

The fact is that both Northampton and ourselves created one decent chance against the swirling wind and we scored 2 to their one when playing with the wind!! WE deserved the victory!!Burnhamgull wrote: Are you serious? If their finishing had been better, we'd have been two or three goals down by half time. Their right winger was making a mug of Nico time and time again and even Mansell gave him stick on Twitter about it.

Re: Fleetwood Town v Torquay United - 7/9/13
I agree Matt, as far as Cruise is better than Nicho, but Nicho is experienced at this level and an experienced pro that all clubs need around, especially when we have a fairly young squad.
I would start Cruise ahead of Nicho, but Nicho hasn't been as poor as some make out, however I can't comment on today as I was not able to make the trip.
My only area of concern is the center of the park, but I believe Harding will get better ( I just hope it's soon)! I would love to see Nathan Craig back in the mix, but it's not just Knill that doesn't fancy him, Ling didn't either.
As for up front, I think we have enough, they just need a bit more service from those playing behind!

Re: Fleetwood Town v Torquay United - 7/9/13
Tonge didn't fill me with any confidence against Wimbledon and Oxford, but thought he was one of our best players against Northampton and gave Hartlepool no hope down that side last week!! He has settled in my opinion, is certainly not a liability like Oastler was!
Nicho has not been half as bad as people on here make out! He was left exposed in the first half against Northampton, where he was battling against a swirling wind as well as a pacey winger!
Let's start getting behind the team and not get on their backs!!
In AK I trust!
