Being based in WSM the nearest pub to the ground is the New Walnut Tree on Winterstoke Road. Just been refurbed but not sure how welcoming it will be !!!
I suggest that no one tries any pub on the Bourneville Estate (known as the Bronx)
Another pub option is the Dolphin Inn in Uphill, a taxi ride away but landlord is a friend and will be welcoming I’m sure. I can see if he is happy to host the Yellow Army if required
See you there

A Word of Sympathy for the Current Board.
I have read this topic with interest and thought I'd put my three penny worth in ! I as a long term season ticket holder sent our Mr Breed an email expressing my worries and concern for TUFC and offering my help if required as an experienced recovery and restructuring professional
BUT I haven't even had the courtesy of a response whether it be a yes please or no thank you so my love for the club is now waivering big style and after following the Gulls since 1971 I now am considering severing my ties ...... And not making the 160 mile round trip to home games ............ A sad sad day

Boardroom, Who does what?
What an amusing read some of the inane posts on this particular topic are !!! Let's all have a go at the board! They are useless and should all leave the club or at least apologise for the demise ! Get real people it ain't gonna happen !
Questions to those witting on such as FL and Austrian
Do u know the board members personally ?
Have you talked to them about the issues you raise here or is it more your style to hide behind social networks ?
Put your money where your mouth is
Yes I know Budleigh seems to defend the board and he has no agenda I can assure you? He is close to a few of them but trust me he and the board members I know where hurting big time yesterday and through the season.
I have some issues with certain board members who revel in the glory of the club acting all high and mighty but that how people are !
The blame game is a great one and whose faults is it we went down well the players for a start, the inept management and yes the board could have been more dynamic but that costs and we aren't the richest club in the world ! We could have good hell for leather on the money front and then the club would probably be heading into mine or or one of my fellow insolvency professionals hands
Could be worse we could be gas heads !

Torquay United V Newport County 22nd March 2014
Well what can you say, another pitiful performance from a side that is doomed to fall out of the League by Easter. Newport were poor but had the one thing we have lacked ALL season, a bloke capable of finishing. We all knew Zeb would score, he always does against us.
Forget the poor refereeing, we should be used to this by now, it's no excuse really, we just aren't good enough, loads of huff and puff but no end product.
Reflecting on Saturdays game, a few statements come to mind:
Elliot Benyon - his role is what ?? On Saturday did he have an effort on or off target ?? He has this great ability to fall over all the time, usually cos he is on the wrong side of the defender !!! I suggest he be given a banjo and shown a barn door and lets see if he can hit that !!!!
Dale Tonge - shocking performance seems more of a pub team player. Brings nothing to the team
Krystian Pearce - I feel very sorry for him as he is the one class player in the team, reckon he'll be speaking to his agent soon !!!
Billy Bodin - when will he actually tackle some-one. Could be a class act, but is just infuriating
I do fear for the club, with failing attendances, the possibility of the majority of the squad still being there next season, could this be a downward spiral ??? If only some-one would actually come out and say "Sorry" to the fan base, whether it be a board member, the management or a player, that may offer some comfort, instead we, that is the club as a whole, seems to trundle along thinking it has a god given right to remain in the Football League .........................
Final thought, poor Dean Edwards, having to "sell" this ramshackle operation, his role must be akin to that of the Entertainments officer on the Titanic, demanding the band play on !!!!
Comments please .........

Don't forget Brucie is the most negative person since negative people were invented and I'm yet to read a single post from him that errs on the positive side !!!
But that's only my opinion ..................................

Torquay United v Plymouth Argyle - 26/11/13
Better much better and hello there was some commitment and a smidge of passion, although for a Devon Derby, the tackles weren't really flying in were they !!! Good to see Messrs Knill and Brass barking instructions !!!
Team performed well and stand-outs for me were O'Connor and Marquis, liked Mozika too, a bit un co-ordinated, but gets stuck. Not sure why people are raving about Craig, set piece delivered was excellent BUT if only he would get tackle !!!!!
PAFC were poor in my eyes and we were the better side.
Now for that "tool" in the middle, Roger "feckin" East .................. he is shocking every time he ref's us, the amount of time he allowed Argyle to waste taking kicks and throw in's was stupid, and the penalty was harsh to say the least, but he wants to be the star of the show !!!
A glimmer of hope maybe going forward ??? Nice to see Branno at the game, chatting with all in the bar, still a top bloke, even though he refers to me as "his dad" !!!!!

Return of Ling - Radio Devon interview
Ling has an issue with Mr Phillips ?? is that the suggestion ??? you are talking of the man who swans around the club, like he owns it and to the best of my knowledge has invested diddly squat !!! Mr Ling is not the only one with an issue !!A Realist wrote:It was on Saturday before the Acc game that he was on. Tonight must have been that recording. He said that he has never been asked the question as someone has the job but if he were, he would consider it as he feels he has unfinished business. He thinks he was doing a decent job and would like to have seen it through. He also said it wouldn't be that much of a problem going back as it was only (he thinks) one person who had a problem with him. I may be wrong here but if memory serves, he suggested that it was mainly Bill Phillips he dealt with and I'm guessing thats who he was talking about. Obviously I dont know that for a fact and its about as far from gospel as one can get.

Well that was DIRE !!! worst performance for a while. Spineless, clueless useless !!!
No leadership, no apparent tactics and lack of guidance. Talk about a rudderless ship !!!
The whole atmosphere at Plainmoor was , actually was there an atmosphere ?? well one of resignation, to the fact that we potentially staring into the abyss !!!
Oh dear ................................

Knill out ??? reality bites here, he ain't going to walk, why should he, as he is in the marketplace where only 92 jobs exist !!
The board won't push him either as we haven't the cash so we are stuck between a rock and a hard place !!
I just found it amusing yesterday at the antics of Paul Cook, up and down like a yo yo, shouting instructions and then bless his cottons doing pitch repairs !!! Whilst our boss just stood there, slurping a isotonic drink and telling then to hurry up !!! Pathetic really !!!

Season tickets - a suggestion
Talking of season tickets why doesn't the club consider the idea of a "country membership" whereby those fans leaving say 50 miles away form the ground get a reduced price for a season ticket ?? Maybe offset the travel cost ??
But could this be too radical and confusing for the likes of Bill Phillips ( Mr Chocolate Teapot)
