I was there.
From what I can remember;
Biggest teeth - Ian Morris. Runners up were Lee Mansell and Martin Rice
Biggest moaner - Eunan O'Kane
Player who trains the hardest - Martin Rice
There were other funny ones but cannot remember the title but Nicholson, Howe, Olejnik won them and then some of the backroom staff won a couple.
As for the hotel, it felt surreal. The deputy manager Christian was in attendance all evening a long with the room manager Alison. All the staff were very friendly and it was a great night over all.

Re: End of season celebration party!
Yes we have considered Playoffs. But by the sounds of it we don't think it will clash. If it does then we will cancel and have to re organise I guess.

End of season celebration party!
(I've copied this from where it was originally posted)
Hello everyone!
A few of us fans have decided that there is only one way to end this crazy season, and that is with a good old evening of beer and sherry! We decided that the best date for this is the Friday 11th May AFTER the final game at Hereford, and everyone is welcome! We did plan on having it on the Saturday 12th May but the club already have a charity event booked.
The venue will be held at Torquay United itself up in the Gulls Nest and the Number 10's restaurant.We agree that this would be the best place for a few reasons;
1) We can celebrate promotion (fingers crossed) with the back drop of Fortress Plainmoor!
2) It's money for the club.
The evening will start at 7:30pm.
There will be a DJ who will be arriving at 7:30pm and will finish at midnight. He is well known at Plainmoor as he has done a number of gigs up there in the past so seems pretty reliable. There will be a raffle taking place too half way through the evening.
It is all ticket to get in as the club did ask if we wanted them to publish it but we said no because we didn't want 200 people turning up on the night as we can only allow 170ish people. It will be £3.50 per person so if anyone is interested then let either Olie Marles or Becka Quantick aware. It's first come first serve bases and they would rather have the money upfront when purchasing a ticket as they won't be allowing anyone through on the night unless people are coming from a distance.
If you want anymore info - just email me - [email protected] or Becka [email protected] for details!
If your on facebook, here is the events page: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ...
Feel free to invite others to this event!

Re: End of Season evening of intoxication.
It is happening. My dad and I spoke to Andy Candy couple of weeks ago and he said to ring Calum Williams the chef. We did that and it is all booked in for Friday 11th May at 7:30...Aussie wrote:It won`t happen! There will be no staff there, as they are at an end of season do elsewhere! Also no-one has bothered to even ask the club to find out if it is possible, no-ones aware of this event! Good idea apart from people having to travel all the way back from Hereford after the game, someone needs to speak to Deano and organise something properly or it just won`t happen, well not at the club anyway!

Kee to Burton?
Now how true this is I do not know, but just flicking through my twitter an a good friend of mine who is a Burton fan has posted...
"News has filtered through that torquay striker Billy Kee will be joining us on loan. Will be over the moon especially when that is made official"
A couple of minutes later, another Burton fan tweets....
"It is now on the Burton Albion iphone app that Billy Kee is joining us. woohoo!"
Now to me, I cannot see this happening or going through at all. However, what are your thought on this?

Re: Jake Robinson
A friend of mine gets on well with Jake and apparently they were talking and he said that he spoke to six clubs yesterday about his future. One being Northampton! When he asked him whether Torquay was one he said no and that no-body from the club had got in contact with him as of yet but he wouldn't be sure whether to sign because the "money isn't great down here" He then said I bet Buckles been on the phone to you, which he then said "I cannot confirm anything"
Now, how true this is I do not know but this guy has been spot on with that he says about Jake in the past, but who knows...............

Fancy dress for Rotherham away!
I see that there is an event page lingering around on facebook about the opportunity to wear fancy dress for Rotherham away.
Now I am normally not the type to do all that sort of thing but what with it being the last game of the season I am prepared to give it a shot and dressing up. Got a few ideas in mind but at the moment it stands at going as a Pirate!
Is anyone else thinking of going in fancy dress?

Player of the season!
It is that time of the season again where we have to pick a player of the season. I think this year has been the hardest to choose. (well for me it has)

Therefore who do you believe should be worthy of the title.
Allthough there is only one winner they do a top three, who do you think the top three should/could be.
Mine would have to be;
1) Chris Zebroski
2) Lee Mansell
3) Guy Branston

Re: A Couple Of New Flags Made
Flags look very good, can't wait to see them.
Like 'happytorq' said, it would be good to have a few player ones made like a Benyon one.
Good work guys.

Was announced last night, that Rushden and Diamonds first team goalkeeper has died at the age of 24! Way to young for any person to die.
Thoughts go to friends, family and rdfc.

Pre Match Entertainment?
Well, this seems to be Buckles idea about the fans 'getting there value for money' after today there going to have to come up with something big.
I liked the idea of the balloons before the match however maybe a few hundred more.
The cheerleaders, well....
would of been handy if they stood in the middle of the pitch
And the singer singing 'Torbados?' well yes she was good but like the cheerleaders, would of been handy if she was stood in the middle.
Over all I thought it was a good attempt from the club today and we can definitely expand with that.
The atmosphere was cracking today, brilliant infact.

Re: Zebroski
Buckle obviously isn't worried about the situation for the time being because if this happened back in August, we've all been none the wiser since then.
However, if he goes get sentenced on thursday then we're in a situation. Do we keep him playing for us and just put the past behind us and carry on or will the board want to get rid of him.
My only concern with him going is that what with Benyon in the spotlight aswell as being a key player clubs are after, can we really afford to lose two main important players. Plus we all know from last saturdays performance how much we missed him. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Until then though like what is said up there ^ he is just as innocent atm until he is found guilty.
We dont know the true facts until it comes on. It seems like it was a nightout, it could well of been racial comments for all we know which provked Zebroski to act in the manner that he did.
Time shall soon tell.
