FC Halifax Town v Torquay United
6 points from 9 after the mess we were in is very encouraging! Looks like Butler and Hurst are key and I am sure Briscoe will also add some goals when fully fit.

Not if Wycome beat us, so should be a lively last match of the season!taunton_gull wrote:Of the other sides I wanted to come down with us it wasn't Wycombe. A real shame, it is salt into the wound with Shaq doing it yet again. Fully appreciate his effort in his short time here and he has a big future in the game.

Soo frustrating, we have had good enough players all along but the managrs haven't picked them! Harrop immediately recalled Yeoman but CH sent him out again. He scored a great goal at end of last season too!!!

Bring on our top scorer and take off Benyon for gawds sake. Then we have 2 good wingers and Coulthirst and Yeoman up front!

Hats off to all those who are going. There really is a minutely slim chance of staying up but sounds like you will all enjoy the day anyway! True supporters to the end.

Best midfield player recently seems to be Lathrope and worst attacker is Hawley, but Lathrope out and Hawley in. Yeoman who has scored despite hardly any game time is on the bench as is our new attacker. Really sums up the wierd team selection this year.

Yeah, what a travesty that after his important goal last season, he hasn't been given a chance whilst Hawley has been given so many. Hawley to Dorchester!

The HE says the PFA chairman who would normally support the player plays for Chesterfield!! It really has been a bad season!

Let's hope CH sticks to his word now and now keeps the same 11 who have succeeded (with perhaps the allowance for the injured O'Connor coming back) and not reintroduce Mansell or Stevens! Or if he feels he needs to strengthen the midfield for an away game bring back Harding.

10 games - that's totally unreasonable. Why is biting any worse than elbowing someone in the face or kicking someone in an off the ball incident. The player is not injured and it didn't affect the result. Unsavoury of course and should receive a 2 match ban. If Shireen Dewani can appeal endlessly and still not have to even stand trial after 3 years, then if there is any justice, we should at thet least be able to appeal enough to get to the end of the season! He would be a big loss - who else would have been in the right place to score the winner yesterday?

Finally have a big striker and then play without wingers and play Hawley and Benyon who have repeatedly failed to score. Beats me!

Table looks bad but I believe we can stay up and depends a lot on the manager. I liked the team today especially the defence and hs must stick with that to get some consistency going. Likewise no more loanees please as we certainly have enough players now.If we go down it will be bad decisions by the managers as opposed to the players in underplaying Cruise, Yeoman, Pearce and prefering Nicholson, and various loanees. But we can definitely stay up and we need a lot of positive support at home even if we are losing. Glad Goodwin has some goals in him and if Wilkinson also does and Chappell gets a run we have some goals in the team. Would be nice if Labadie gets some goals too as we know he can.

And now is the time to try O'Brien or Wilkinson (or both?!)
