Hi culmstockgull, I'm not sure where you get your impression about TUST but as the TUST chairman I can tell you that we have no desire to take over or run the club for, as you suggest, where would we get the money to do so?
Our role is to ensure there is a club to support for future generations. For your information our membership has gone from 380 in April, round about the time of relegation to National South, to the current number of three short of 500. Fans who understand what is going on have increased our membership and as in everything in life, there's strength in numbers. You are welcome to become our 500th member.

That wasn't Osborne it was CEO George Edwards who runs the club.Dave_Pougher wrote: ↑29 Oct 2023, 13:50 Watched that confrontation a few times and Can’t get out of my head Osbournes reaction when asked if a new ground was on the agenda, his response was an instant and unequivocal “YES”
When asked where his reaction was a hesitant delayed and “we don’t know”
Frightening people in charge of our club

Edwards told complaining fans after the game that there is no problem with the budget. So that assumes that if a new manager came in he would be able to bring in players who actually know how to play in this league.

Thanks for your interest with your replies. TUST is not claiming we have all the answers but it is currently the only independent, that's independent of the club, body representing our members.
We certainly have no ambition to run the club and if you're interested to learn more about us then look at our FAQs on tust.co.uk. There you will read about a possible phoenix club amongst other options.
As far as the ground is concerned we have an ACV on Plainmoor and we've held meetings with the current and previous regimes running Torbay Council to establish their views which are 'no sale'.
This is the time for all of us to pull together as one, as divided will not be sufficient.

Yes, it's a forum for fans to voice their feelings but importantly it's the message a gathering of Torquay fans will send out. So it's important as many turn up as possible.UnitedinDevon wrote: ↑25 Oct 2023, 12:13 Have the question the point of this if CO or GJ wont be there
a group of TQ fans discussing the blinding obvious, without the right people there what will it achieve?
The bigger the attendance, the bigger the message.

To answer an earlier point TUST has arranged a Fans' Forum, open to all, at the Livermead Cliff Hotel on Wednesday November 8. Bar open from 6.30pm and meeting starts 7pm.
For those who can't be there you will be able to join us on Zoom.
And yes we have invited Clarke Osborne but he is yet to reply!

Mark Halstead has won the coveted TUST sponsored Ian Twitchin Trophy for the player making the most appearances. I was able to tell him of this award after Saturday's match.
He should be receiving his trophy at a special ceremony before the start of next season.

The BBC article merely repeats the interview Johnston gave to Dom Mee on Saturday after the Altrincham game.
I don't think anything was said by Johnson to indicate he will or won't be manager next season.

determined to improve and a clean sheet at the Daggers is very welcome our first since Halifax away on 13th August!
Mark Ellis is a very important player for us now because he is a good organiser and the younger players will learn a lot from him.
As others have said very big game at Oldham next Saturday and on BT Sport.
