Once a manager starts to make excuses you know he's got to go. It's not like CH didn't know what he had to work with when he took the job, so using that as an excuse for not being able to bring in useful players, motivate them and put them together as a team is ****shit.
Even if if we manage to get the results required to stay up I can't see things improving next year - CH simply hasn't got what it takes.

What can we do in memory for Thea
I'd rather sit in the old Grandstand watching league football...torq2u wrote:

Thea Bristow to resign
Thea stepping down might be a blessing in disguise for the club. We have been far to reliant of one person. She had the money, but she has been blatantly incompetent as a chairman - a fact she did point out herself when she took charge.
It is ridiculous to say Thea is not to blame for the situation we are. A professional football club is not a toy with ehich to learn how to run a business, and I blame Thea for not recognising that. During her "learning process" the club has gone from bad to utter crap, on and off the pitch.
I have nothing against Thea as a person, she is a lovely lady, but she has been way out of her depth and should have taken the consequences of that years ago.
I would gladly take someone like Mike Bateson back - someone with proven business knowhow and balls to make tough decisions to keep the club afloat. I'll be happy to be frustrated with the chairman and board as long as the club is safe.

Who can turn it around?
It seems unlikely that CH will go, but who do you realistically think would be able to turn us into a winning side again, and one that can push for promotion next season?
Buckle is available, could we forget and forgive? He certainly has the credentials for the job...

Please resign Chris
I've been watching this season from a distance, only being able to watch a very limited number of matches. I've been lucky enough to witness the highs and lows (so far) of the season, and I am at loss to understand how the players can be so unbelievably inconsistent!
We can beat the top sides on a good day, and on a bad day God only knows who can beat us...
The manager's remit is to get the best out of the players he has at his disposal, regardless of who has brought the players to the club. As results and performances like early season performances and Barnet away suggest, the current crop of players are able to hold their own in this league, given the right management.
The recent performances makes me wonder if there is any meaningful input from the bench at all during matches. CH looks like he has no clue how to pick a side, or change play.
We need a strong, demanding manager who can take the difficult decisions, and is able to fire up the players. CH is not that man, he's got to go.
As for the competence of the board....
