Season Ticket
I agree with posters like Hector, it is very unclear as to how this card works - surely if it is to replace the book of season tickets then it would just be shown and scanned at the gate?
Having to queue for a ticket and then queue again to get in is silly .... I find it hard enough walking from the car after I have managed to park, without having to then stand around in a queue waiting to be given a ticket to let me in to the ground somewhere else!
I hope someone from the new group can clarify this - and also whether they have sorted out any disabled parking near to the ground??

Have Steve Breed and Deano invested money ?
Dean Edwards was sacked as manager of Hednesford Town in 2009 after a flying start saw them fall away (sound familiar?).
He brought in such players as Duane Darby and Matt Elliott (Assistant Manager).
Better luck to him as DoF at Plainmoor.

Training Ground
I have just been talking with a close associate out at Newton Abbot racecourse and it would seem that training could well be returning to the old ground they used to use there in the middle of the course, back in the days of Mr Rosenior.
A lot of time and money was spent out there with Director Brian Palk overseeing all the drainage work, so this may be good news.

Hargreaves, Hodges and Veysey on Gardening leave
As I understand it - Gardening Leave means all three will have to be paid until their current contracts expire, or they come to a mutual payment agreement with the club and are then paid off.

Something for the club to improve on
I agree about No 10/Boots & Laces .. whatever name it goes under!
Twice last season I went to eat there with an elderly friend and the food was dire!
It used to be good when Kevin (Hill?) the big chef ran it years ago - but has not been since.
Another thing I raised a while back (Mr Candy did reply I think), is the lack of parking for Blue Badge holders.
I am unable to walk far these days, but to try and park near the ground is nigh on impossible unless I arrive very early and then sit around in the car.
Surely some spaces for disabled persons could be arranged in conjunction with the school parking next door?
Please!

It would appear that some clubs can change owners smoothly enough!

A request to TUST
Oy - I may be old but as yet, I am not prone to fart (well, not often!) - and as for dropping off my branch!!!!!frenchgull wrote:Bobby93,you are right, the lifeblood of any business is new customers and certainly at Torquay we defiantly need the young generation so twitter and Facebook is an avenue to persist with.My argument was that I am not a twitterer or a facebook user.all I wanted to do was donate to the cause and had no idea where to send a cheque , thanks to others I now do,but with us old farts dropping off the branch young blood is vital.Good to see the numbers growing on TUST.

Surely then that means that the current Directors have accepted the bid from ??? - otherwise why would any money be paid into their (the clubs?) account. You don't transfer money into an account unless the bid has been made and accepted and you've bought something.Fonda wrote:"They've made a bid. We're waiting for the money to arrive in our account," acting chairman Bill Phillips said.
What a brilliant quote.

All that we really 'seem' to know is that Mrs Bristow has officially gone :http://www.torquayunited.com/news/artic ... 68109.aspx
