I reckon the overall "sports psychology" must be wrong at Torquay, and must have been wrong for years.
Surely with the right positive dedication: players with the right nutrition, hydration, stretching, training, massage & so on; with a love for the club, where it is viewed as an honour to wear the Torquay shirt; where yesterdays failings are forgotten for a positive new tomorrow in the very next match. Then players wont get injured so much. Also the best of the lower leagues will be trying to sign for us if they can see the positive mindset.
But if the underlying heavy issue is building houses on the Plainmoor site, then that goes against anyone creating a fantastic positive sports psychology at the club.
Can't rich arabs be encouraged to invest in Torquay Unt? Wouldnt rich arabs love the palm tree surroundings? Torquay have fans all over the UK and world. If rich arabs can invest in rain soaked manchester city, then some rich arab might want to put money in Torquay, and deal with creating a positive sports psychology.
Cristiano Ronaldo never got injured as he has a brilliant sports psychology.
Given that Torquay Unt sold Man Unt & Alex Ferguson Lee Sharp in 1991, to innitiate their dominance, can't Alex Ferguson be persuaded to help Torquay Unt with their sports psychology, to get the most, not the worst out of players? Give him a week at Torquay and he might have an opinion? Instead of paying Ferguson, donate his fee to charity ...

Whitehawk great escape more important to Owers?
Cheers fellas - on Wikipedia Elliott Benyon has 46 Torquay goals, across 3 spells, but the first 39 were scored 2007-2011. I started supporting Torquay in 2014 and am london based, going mainly to away games.
I would have thought it better to extend Chaneys loan month by month and watch his progress. Not simply extend him until the end of the season, which is the newsnow website story today.

Whitehawk great escape more important to Owers?
Sam Chaney has had his loan deal at bottom National League South club Whitehawk extended until the end of the season, for their "great escape".
Whitehawk are now doing well ( getting results) despite being bottom, with a 3-2 win over promotion contenders Truro on saturday, with Chaney getting 8/10 in the non league paper for his performance, where he started and played 82 minutes of the game.
A former star Torquay striker Elliot Benyon has been signed by Whitehawk and is leading their revival, scoring 9/10 in the non league paper for saturdays match.
What the hell is going on - surely, Chaney is our player and should be recalled for our bottom placed fight, not Whitehawks?
Did we try for Ellioy Benyon? Who is leading the whitehawk revival.
Also the Torquay youngster who scored a good first goal against WBA in the friendly 01Aug16 was never heard of again and plays in lower leagues.
Can the management think clearly?

Torquay United vs Boreham Wood predictions
I reckon we will beat Boreham Wood 2-1.
They have scored 7 and let in 5 in just 3 games.
If its the case now that the top7 finishers have a chance of promotion with an extra playoff round, then we still have everything to play for, and as yet, there is certainly no crisis ( re sack Nicho )

SACK NICHOLSON!!
Kevin Nicholson comes across as a lovely man, who has galvanised the Gulls to avert disaster for the last two seasons.
As it stands, we have had only one bad result: the defeat at Gateshead. The performances against Tranmere and Aldershot were fine against two of the strongest sides in our league.
The previous manager, who is a pundit for bt sport, does not come across as such a nice fella, and his record with the gulls is no better.
We dont want to lose Nicho unless there is obviously a better way. Give Nicho time.
In a way perhaps it has been more exciting to have the romance of avoiding relegation last minute, then just being an average mid table side. At least we have high drama, the lows then the highs.
I am sure that Nicho will get it right 3rd time around. Torquay is a lovely club, with great fans, and we have had fun these last two seasons with the great escapes.
