Great performance today from the whole team. We looked a completely different side from Boxing Day.
I disagree with the motm though, while Ruari always gives 100% and I would start him again, Ben Whitfield was the best player on the pitch for us just as he was (by a country mile) at Yeovil.

Ben Wynter.
Very consistent all game.
Won lots of headers going forward and took his chance really well.

Great memories of my first visit to Wembley.
Can't believe it was 30 years ago. God I'm old.

What a disappointing performance today, the worst at home since GJ took charge. We looked like the team when Gary Owers was in charge during the first half, hoofing the ball forward when we are normally so much better than that.
The ref was a disgrace. No booking for a raised arm from WSM and then 2 yellows against us for nothing at all. Their number 9 was laughing so much, he couldn't believe his luck. Only 1 minute of ET at the end of the first half with all their time wasting.
We also had a WSM supporter sat just in front of us in the family stand constantly praising their keeper for all his time wasting. Very annoying when they scored their 2nd and he decided he wanted to take on the entire family stand but was eventually ejected by the stewards.
He was definitely old enough to know better.
Hopefully we'll bounce back with a better performance on Tuesday.
COYY.

We were poor yesterday, the worst I've seen since GJ took over but it has been coming. Recent results have flattered us and we have been starting games very slowly often gping behind early on. Hopefully it will be a kick up the backside and the team will get back to the great football we have been seeing at Plainmoor.

The lovely lady on the phone said it's a 20 minute walk from Bath Spa station.standupsitdown wrote: ↑10 Jan 2019, 19:12 How are people getting from Bath station to Twerton Park?
It's about a two mile walk, there are buses every 10/15 minutes, or roughly hourly trains to Oldfield which is about half way.

Great news.
He is consistently our best player.
I think we will be hearing more of him in the future.

But when you pay cash at the turnstile you don't get a ticket.WHG wrote: ↑27 Dec 2018, 10:43 Complete twaddle same as Brucie.
Unless they have changed the way they do tickets, every ticket has a seat number on it . Seat C73 is between seat C72 and C74 not hard to work out.
The only problem is stewards telling people 'sit where you want'. This is not surprising considering most of the stewards are from Plymuff. A four syllable answer is above norm for them.
The correct response is ' If it's not busy sit where you want but if someone comes along with a booked seat then I'm afraid you will have to go and sit in the seat it says on your ticket'. Bit too much for them to say though.

Great manager and great times under Cyril Knowles.
Does anyone remember the Torquay United fanzine at the time which had an advert for the "Scarborough boot"
in?

Unfortunately this is not a new problem.
I was a regular for many years in the mid 80's and early 90's and was delighted 4 years ago when my son wanted to go to TUFC and we have been to most home games since. We usually sit behind the goal but sometimes we sit in the bench and I always pay cash at the turnstile. When you pay that way you don't get a ticket and are told to sit where you want. If someone turns up who has a ticket for the seat you are in that's when it causes a problem.I have seen this many times especially in the bench.

Great performance today, especially the first 45 minutes.
Sat right behind the goal when Reid scored, as soon as it left his foot you knew it was going in.
That was the best I've seen Torquay play for a long long time, let's hope we can keep this momentum going.
What a difference since GJ took over. Onwards and hopefully upwards.
