Torquay United v Truro City 19.45 PSF Tues 27 July.
Let's not forget that it's the very point of pre-season football to get the team used to playing, iron out any issues and gear up for the season ahead! There's no one at the club who isn't still feeling the effects of the loss in Bristol, but I have faith in a very experienced GJ to mould the boys in to a solid side. SL

I think this is a bit optimistic, Notts looked naughty in the last 20. That ball to Ellis was sublime. Any team coming back from 2-1 down are dangerous...brucie wrote: ↑05 Jun 2021, 18:03 They were extremely lucky to win that. Chesterfield ended up with half their team injured by the end. They also missed a great chance at 2-2.
Chesterfield should have equalised in the 8th minute of injury time. Would have preferred the losers though, half their team was crocked.

There’s a message in the confirmation email to say that this is a common issue. Should be solved by downloading the tickets to your computer as a PDFstandupsitdown wrote: ↑04 Jun 2021, 11:29 The ticket on my email only seems to have a partial barcode. It has solid lines along the left and bottom edges but not the top and right.
Have other people got the same?
I wouldn't be happy if I got to the turnstile and it isn't accepted.

Unfair criticism of KeatingUptongull wrote: ↑24 Sep 2019, 22:17 I think Covolan makes the two CBs nervous. Hes quite erratic.
Andrews just looks unfit. No athleticism whatsoever considering hes a full time pro. Looks like he's running in treacle. Countless times the crosses were coming in when he was facing up to the Eastleigh player.
A lot of huff and puff from Ruairi but just lacks the most important thing...ability.
I think Whitfield was taken off because when that ball was threaded through to Ruairi, Ruairi was onside and shouted at Whitfield, who was offside, to leave it but Whitfield latched on to the ball and had a strike and was rightly flagged offside. Keating was onside and would have been 1 on 1 - probably still would have missed though.
Anyone noticed Hollands' legs. Looked like he had rickets and we still lost that game. Unbelievable.
Feel sorry for the lads as they played some great stuff so just hope this doesn't knock the stuffing out of them too much.

SURPRISE SURPRISE The TUFC slating GJ and the squad. No doubt the same people who slated Reidy before he came good and won us the NLS. We’ve got key players out injured and we’ve had a mediocre start sitting us mid-table. CHILL OUT you’ll be singing their praises when they start winning. COYY

Question regarding Reidy’s performance this season. Has anyone noticed he’s dropping deep very often instead of up the front waiting for that ball? Would like to see him standing on centre circle for 90 mins ready to poach! Should have scored in front of the family stand today

How on earth did you conclude that JR wasn’t good enough for this league? Fair enough you’ve said he’s proving you wrong but still can’t believe that conclusion + your doubts in Gary Johnson. We didn’t deserve GJ, we don’t know how lucky we are to have a manager like him at Plainmoor COYYdawlishmatt wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 19:03 forevertufc, I find your post concerning my comments confusing. I assure you that I am not a wind up merchant, I simply post my personal opinion on topics written on this forum. You may agree or disagree with my comments, personally I don't give a damn. As regards Jamie Reid, I posted pre-season that I thought he wasn't good enough for this league and from what I have seen so far from Reid, I was wrong. Reid's performances so far this season have shown how much improved he is. Regarding Gary Johnson, we'll I have never said that he should be replaced or sacked, quite the opposite in fact. I was just pointing out that in my opinion he has made several mistakes, the main one being in not strengthing the defence, a defence that was suspect last season.

Scary how many similarities there are between Steve Dale and Clarke Osborn. What can we do as a fan base to form an understanding/bridge of communication with him to ensure this will never happen to our club? COYY

Yeah fair enough MadGull, one of the few who stuck with Reidy and had faith. Poor Yorkshiregully has been banged up for last 12 months so wasn't able to see Reidy's progression. More than welcome on our camper on Monday, outside Boots &Laces. COYY

To be fair from listening on radio he did make a couple wayward passes before those 2 assists. Think he’s the only Torquay player to be featured in the national league team of week. Some great potential in that lad, a great signing. COYYNick Potkins wrote: ↑18 Aug 2019, 10:05 l will hold my hands up, maybe I picked my five too quickly and without reflection. As I said it was not easy, as a great team performance and to a man they were all fantastic. I just had the feeling Jake was slow getting into the game yesterday, but you a right those two balls were world class.
