Time for the 2nd pink strap to go...

The point of looking out from Bristow’s Bench and seeing 10:1 blue and yellow v pink is a bit obvious as purchases probably favour buying home kits. Also if people have bought both (me included) then they are more likely to wear the home kit at home and the away kit away from home.

When Man Utd got beaten by Southampton wearing their grey kit, I believe we were beating Swansea City at home…. A big cheer going up when the Man Utd result was announced!

(TUST) "Yellow Army Share Issue" NOW LIVE!

Great effort from great fans for a great club!

£100k for an additional seat on the board 👍

From Chairmen’s Chat No. 2, we heard that the floodlights and CCTV needs upgrading (£48k & £20k) and the big screen needs replacing at a cost of £30k. Given the likelihood that grant money would be available to cover part of the costs of the floodlights, we aren’t a million miles away from being able to cover these capital expenses from the excess >£100k. The big screen is a great vehicle for advertising so in theory it will pay for itself over a period of time, which I’m sure the board would budget for.

Hopefully a few more donations to come.

Welling v Torquay United Sat 7 Sept KO 3pm

Disappointing of course as who knows we may have won the game but fair play to the referee for doing that, no all would have done it.

Onwards and hopefully that dropped point or three won’t hurt us come the end of the season.

I’d like to second the comment about Lovett. He was certainly a competent back up with us and I thought was unlucky not be retained. To my knowledge he’d never said anything negative about his time with us.

Welling v Torquay United Sat 7 Sept KO 3pm

Evening all.

Was supposed to be playing my last cricket match of the season, rained off in Brighton…. brilliant, made a mad dash to Welling despite numerous signal failures around East Croydon!

Took a mate of mine who is complete neutral and he saw nothing wrong with our goal….

Tried hard could do better sums it up for me.

We may not be the team of midgets previously assembled but Welling were much bigger than us all over the park, so balls in to the box unless delivered with pin point accuracy become a waste of time. Cook to me was at times trying to buy the foul, when that ploy didn’t work, stop doing it! I’m not advocating signing a talentless lump upfront but at the moment the opposition talentless’ish lumps continue to win the aerial battle.

Also a few occasions where we appeared to lose the ball because the player in possession wasn’t spoken to… man on, up you ar** etc, obviously viewing from a distance I can’t say if there was a call or not but for me it would indicate a lack of communication.

Frustrated after today, disallowed goal, hit the post etc before their goal but onwards and upwards! Rome wasn’t built in a day!

TUFC v Aveley

Hands up I wasn’t at the game so have only read the report and watched the highlights. Our highlights I believe are usually fairly edited, if the opposition create chances, they get shown. Assuming no change there, we had way more possession and created more chances than they did, as David Lloyd might say, “we flipping murdered them!”

I’m sure the longer they train and play together, the better it will be. However a couple of good loaners wouldn’t go amiss either.

I think we’d settle for 4 points from across the two matches, Saturday and Tuesday.

Nearly as many F’s as John Sitton in that Leyton Orient documentary years ago. No way can you see PW doing that in an interview!

Does DWTV have an 18 certificate 🤣
