Next season.......

wivelgull wrote:Back in the Stone Age (when we were last in League One [or Division 3 for us codgers] our first home match was against Bristol City. They absolutely destroyed us (I think the score was 0-3 or 0-4); the chief destroyer was Leroy Lita who must rank as one of the best players I've seen at Plainmoor in 51 years of attending (not as good as Robin, though)
I haven't looked it up, but in my memory we were away to Bristol City and we won 1-0 with a goal from Joe Kuffour.

New Owners

One of the stand out benefits for me is the location of the new ground- especially if they make another station there.

Guiseley v Torquay

This will be my first and only game of the season. My girlfriend only lives 30 mins away. What pubs are people meeting at? This should a great day out.

New Stadium-The Willows

This is a great opportunity to move the singers back behind the goal like in the days of the mini stand. Im all for it if theres no sinister T&Cs.

Alfreton Town v Torquay United – Saturday 11th October 2014

It would be nice to have a couple hundred fans there to make a bit of noise for the cameras (and team ofcourse)

A Cobblers fan passed away yesterday..

I don't think a minute silence is appropriate here, but a mention over the tannoy to pay respects would be a good gesture.

Bristol rovers game.

A few hundred fans will have been put off today because of this ticketing. Stupid from a club who are desperate for the cash.

Torquay United vs Oxford Utd 17/08/13

A thousand or so Oxford fans have bought tickets for this one, should be a good atmosphere.

Re: Manse on Twitter

This country had pig headed EDL, it also has many people like this:
There is a large portion of the muslim community who want sharia law in this country.

My point is, the hatred is being stirred from both sides of the coin, it is a bit naive to just blame the EDL.

The fact there's still something to play for should add a few more to the gate. I wonder what the attendance will be.

Re: Barnet game

£5 entry would be great. With suppport dwindling, the club is running the risk of losing many supporters for good. A good crowd and a good atmosphere may make the stay aways want to come back. Short term pain, long term gain.
