Atleast we can be sure that Argyle have got a safe and successful future ahead ;-)

Re: New player.

I agree with Hamza Bencherif and would also like to add Tom Elliot from leeds, Big potential, good hold up play and not a bad finish, needs tutoring as he's young and not a first team player but could be well used as a target man in league 2 for long balls, corners, free kick and general presence around the box. nHe's just turned 20 and is on loan at Rotherham...Heres whats on their website about him,
'Tom has signed a six month loan deal with Millers from Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.
The 19-year-old possess great pace and strength and proved a real handful for Leicester in a pre-season outing in the summer.
Tom has previous League Two experience after loan spells with Bury and Macclesfield Town last season, scoring for the Shakers in their 3-2 win over Crewe Alexandra.'

He must of put in some good performances for Rotherham to loan him, as they are also going for promotion.

Re: Goal Music

I agree in that respect, maybe he's just trying to show (in his own way) that he's the boss and that he feels his decision over the club is more important than the fans, however if there is more debate i think that it will generate more problems between PB and ourselves, which we don't need on a promising promotion campaign at the moment. There's alot more troubling things at the club other than the music so i think it's just a case of acceptance and moving on :)

Re: Goal Music

I don't think its that serious, it's only a 10 second clip after a goal that we celebrate, i could understand if it was for the oppenents goal(s) aswell but between 10 and 40 seconds worth of goal music a game is hardley worth arguing about. If it's really that big of a deal then you may aswell take the managers notes in the programme and the squad sheet out of it. If it is PB's own decision then thats up to himand may feel that the majority of supporters don't mind, i'm not going to cause a fuss over 10 seconds worth of music that you can hardley hear anyway and it's not as if prices in the club are going up because of it so i cant see how it can aggrivate you so much.

Re: Goal Music

Essentially it may not be just a decision from PB, it could be to do with the players aswell?

Re: home tie to carlisle then

"What a tie," Noel beams after picking out Liverpool to face Man Utd. No it's not you bum. It's the same crap that the FA Cup dishes out most years. ITV's big-wigs will be rubbing their hands together. As for Dirty Leeds. Not content with being drawn at Old Trafford and White Hart Lane last season, now they get to enjoy at day out at the Emirates. Dirty, filthy Leeds. I live in Leeds. And I hate Leeds.

I hate the FA Cup. Magic? What magic? I have more magic in my little finger than the FA Cup. Ask Dover if they think Huddersfield away is magic. You can argue that we've been handed a winnable tie. But even if we reach the fourth round we'll be given another damp home draw against someone like Coventry. Oh hang on a second...
Brilliant, your now my member of the month!
As for leeds, I think after their recent history they deserve a good couple of years, I mean if we were relegated down two leagues with point deductions and millions of pounds in debts due to a shoking chairman and board ( i know this happend to us on a smaller scale) I believe that they deserve some limelight, as should we.
we may not have the luck of the draw but there are positives....Do we or do we not have good memories of playing Carlisle? and their players are going to be nackered after a long trip on a friday and a freezing cold warm up on the saturday, they will miss hours of preparation and if we get an early goal they'll just want to have an early bath and back home again. I know it's not a 'Glamorous' tie but at the end of the day the prize money into the fourth round is needed and also the 'chance' to get a bigger if not all be it 'top four team' in round four would be excellend and much better than drawing Man U in this round and more than likely go out, the cups are all about momentum and i fully believe that this cup has made me a proud man of this club over recent years in this competition and now we expect at the beginning of every season that we will be in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. (Sponsered by EON, as Jim Rosenthal mentions about 23 times during every round)

Modgull wrote:Yes, we must see it as a positive otherwise we might as well give Carlisle a bye!

Its up to us supporters to urge the team on into round 4 and a match against Arsenal Chelsea Man U or L'pool.
Not Arsenal, Leeds will beat them ;-)

Re: Goal Music

If you look at teams like Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves with the 'Hi-Ho Silverlining' song, both the teams have made it a traditional song to their club so when they score and win a match they play that song and 3/4 of the attendance sing along and add Sheffield Wednesday or Woverhampton instead of the Silvelining bit, and it sounds amazing, my point is that a theme song that gets everyone 'buzzing' can't be bad can it? If big clubs can do it then why not us?
