The return of fans

Its hugely insulting, i hope you don't get a reply like others have had to endure!
I find it absolutely disgusting he is not only allowed to infiltrate every football thread on this forum with his rubbish, but is encouraged and endorsed by the administrators of the site to do so.

Tufcgirl, I hope things become easier for you. I’ve experienced something similar.

This will be my last post on the forum and the last time I login, in fact. I couldn’t find an option to delete my profile but if someone could do that for me, I’d appreciate it.

National League Torquay United v Wrexham Saturday 5th Dec 2020 3pm KO

I was there on Saturday. Stood in my spot. Would I have gone if I had people stood around me? No. Only one person being presumptive here.

National League - Halifax v Torquay United - Sat. 21/11/20 - 3.00pm KO

Jeez some negativity here. I’m over the moon with the 4 points from the last 2 games. Hard fought, tough games in which I very much doubt we’d have picked up more than a point from last season.

Sometimes it’s hard for a team at our level to follow up what was a perfect performance at Hartlepool. Expectations rise and often teams don’t reach those heights in the games after. Our recent results prove to me the group has learnt a lot from last season. We’ve got experience, we can play a few different systems, we are resolute and the quality is there when we can show it.

Enjoy it chaps.

As good a midfield performance since we dropped out the league from Adam Randell yesterday. Fantastic vision, executed nearly every pass, closed down well. Would very much like him for the season.

Plainmoor78: forum moron.

Once again Dave thanks for the observations but the above target is deserving of ridicule.
Any mods around? I’d like to read people’s thoughts on our football team, not those of insane, old men on day release.

MOTM - Sutton

Wynter
Medford Smith - looked composed on the ball in tight situations and did pretty well against a decent winger

Re: Torquay United v Sutton United 16/11/19

Very similar to the Maidenhead game. No width, square pegs in round holes and a reluctance to change anything.

I hate formations without wingers. It doesn’t work, especially at our current level. Wingers obviously hugely help offensively but also simplifies things defensively as well and everyone knows their jobs. All of our worst football recently has come when we’ve played narrow, complicated formations - Nicholson’s obsession with the diamond formation, Owers’ lobsided 5 at the back and Gary’s worst performance yesterday. Keep it simple IMO.

Clarke Osborne

We will probably have a situation where the money owed to Osborne will be as such that he will use it as his main negotiation tool when going back to the authorities regarding purchasing Plainmoor. He will be in a lot better position to get his way.

Personally I feel if the club wasn’t bought by Osborne it may not still be here - that’s the reason it was eventually sold to him in first place. So if he builds a new stadium and he does what he wants with Plainmoor I won’t have too many complaints. I just can’t see it going that smoothly.

I'd rather they'd be rememembered for their magnificent efforts on the field instead of the out of their depth efforts on the sideline.
If your going to go into footy managership then do the hard graft, & serve your apprenticeship properly like PB did at Exeter or JT is doing right now at Villa.
It's painful to watch & appreciate their efforts when clearly they're well of their depth .
So GJ had only been here 5 minutes eh ?
Well this PROPER seasoned experienced manager achieved the title in 30 games despite being 10 points adrift upon arrival & broke club records, made us fans happy again is approachable, & bloody good at his job.
Let's not return to the days of being a guinea pig club for ex 'ledgends' to cut their teeth football.mamagement, it rarely works ( as we've found out, regularly) .
And if we do happen to lose 3 on the trot, then it'll all depend on the circumstances surely? If we're shite with no way of being competitive then fine, moan, if we're just bloody unlucky then, ok, not a lot we can do about that apart from changing that luck around.
TUFC fans are no different from other clubs supporters in wanting & hoping to be winning each game but as you go further up the food chain then your morsels get smaller that's when a PROPER manager comes into his own.
I know what my eyes tell me from 40+ years of watching the occasional decent season, & having a manager who knows his level inside out is the key to success & with GJ in the pilots seat we have as good a chance as any one else in this league.
I made no comments about their respective abilities as managers.

I’d just rather you didn’t shit on Nicholson and Hargreaves with posts like that and give them some respect.

We've a PROPER management team now not an apprentice bus driver or an apprentice Tarzan lookalike, no more.
Jesus. This is why players shouldn’t return as managers. Two legends of the club compared in this way to a Football League manager who has been here 5 minutes and won the Conference South. Recency bias at its finest.

Let’s see who’s the first to moan if we lose 3 in a row next year.
