Have to say my immediate reaction was like that of many of you, not overly enthused in the slightest.
Having said that, we are expected to be looking at a season of consolidation next year, a lot of us would take that, myself included, nothing wrong with slow and steady progress. And if Ling can deliver that, he can be the man for the job, especially if the reasoning given by Simon Baker on the OS today is to be believed.
Not an exciting appointment by any means, and I have my doubts about him, but he deserves my support until he proves otherwise.
Onwards and upwards.

Re: New boss poll
I have a lot of love for Leroy after the good times he gave us - and his style would prob suit the current bunch. However I'm wary of appointing a manager based on past sentiment, especially as he inhertied the squad, and not sure where he stands with the 10 minute saga.
From those listed above i've gone for Trollope for his recent experience.

Re: skybet next manager odds
I'm a big fan of Hargreaves and I imagine he'd give us contacts and continuity. However is he the right personality? Is he too matey to be manager? I reckon now is too early for him to return.
Anybody who can play to the current squad's strengths, preferably with experience.
