Re: TEAM OF 2004 - Where are they now?

Noticing your fave player they're ABM and thinking back to players past, i wonder whatever happened to our plethora of 'fantastic' foreign players we've had? Think back to Jean-Pierre Simb, Chalqi, Mendy. The most notable for his career after Torquay was Sako, who got promotion with St Pauli in Germany to the Bundesliga. Anyone know what happened to any of the others?

Re: Little club syndrome...

Really, your argument about Bristol RFC has got little to do with just the one season Exeter got promotion. It was about the infrastucture and sound planning of a club like Exeter (who you are calling a tiny tinpot Rugby club despite them staying up in the Prem). Maybe it would be a better idea to get everything sorted before going full tilt at promotion back up to the Guiness Prem.

Re: The Shortlist

Hi all, new poster,
I was gonna suggest Justin Edinburgh but Shaunicus has already mentioned him. I know he's with a club, and we would be looking at people out of work rather than paying a compensation package, but Rushden are in serious financial trouble (not down to him) and have recently been demoted from the BSP.

I think he's an ambitious manager, but has turned down league clubs in the past. He's done well with Rushden until the money downfall and I bet he's got a lot of good contacts from around non-league and from his time as a prem player. There are a lot of good managers and playing talent around the non-leagues which doesn't get taken advantage of too much.

But, I'm going of point really. Out of the supposed 'shortlist', my pick would be Forster.
