Just out of interest from anyone who has a better idea of the current situation than me. I have been living overseas for many years now have found it difficult to keep up with the gulls.
If we were to be relegated this season, would the club be able to play in the national south or would the doors close altogether?

Potential Signings
Are we going for any players. Lots of clubs are doing their business. I know we are going through a takeover but I still would like to see if we are looking at the playing side too

I can't blame any club in non league to want to win the fa trophy. It gives them a place in the first round proper without having to go through the qualification rounds. Again more money for the club. If the pitch was that bad then if they played last night then could risk the next few games being off if made even worse.
Sadly it looks like you need to spend money and a lot of it to get out of non league and look at Barnet rovers and then even fgr and Eastleigh have spent money and up there. We're trying the best on a small budget. So for the club to get money for the fa trophy the a fa cup place next year can only help

A Sense of Perspective Please
I think alot of people thought we would walk the conference, and with our good start them thoughts grew. Its now kicking in that its not easy but in the same level saying were go down the the conference south is again ridiculous. Its tough we all know that and we keep fighting with such a young squad.
Big teams lose to bottom of the league teams all the time from Barcelona to us. Its also very rare that any side bounces straight back up. People forget its a tough league and most sides in the top half have good players and squads.
I dont understand either why people are so devastated by losing to macc who are an ex football league team that do have alot of potential to get back to the fl one day.
if you look the likes of luton, Crawley, fleetwood they have all spent a number of years in a tough conference and the gone on to flying starts and even getting to league one (yes I know luton have not gone up yet)
The season is only in november and got alot of games to go to find form and get up the table. But again if it doesnt work out this year then we add and replace to a squad with potential and go again. Its taken barnet a few seasons to find their way and it took us two seasons last time.
Its not all doom and gloom. At the moment we maybe getting bad results but once we find our form everyone will be raving again.

Wasn't the last time we played southport we lost 3-0 away in the fa trophy when bevan got lobbed from the halfway line. 2009 maybe.
Anyway should be a good game. I will go for a 2-0 win with Bowman getting both

Any ideas when our release list will be out. I know the board had the budget meeting in Wednesday but surley CH already had a good idea of who he was going to offer a new deal too or not.

Well fingers crossed we win, rovers beat wycombe and dag and red beat northampton.
Then we could go into the wycombe game with every chance.
But if im honest I cant see dag and red beating northampton.
