I know football tends to work in very different ways to any other industry, but surely the job would legally need to be advertised? Unless they can get away with advertising it internally and obviously never consider letting the club secretary near the football team.
Luke.

Why is there no news of Tintin's appointment?

Why does a job legally need to be advertised? Surely its up to a company to advertise or not?

If we need to employ a couple of centre backs we could offer the jobs to out of contract Brian Saah and Aaron Downes without advertising the vacancies or accepting other applications.
I would have assumed you were right. I can't remember the vacancy for another coaching position being advertised, I just thought Knill asked for his mate Chris Brass to be brought in. If a club needs a centre forward they can sign the particular player they want without advertising the vacancy to all centre forwards up and down the country. Why does a job legally need to be advertised? Surely its up to a company to advertise or not?
