There's a number of players out there, Harding and Gutteridge have both been releases by Northampton and I would take both of them here. This market is to be patient, pick up players throughout pre season on decent money and get higher quality players.

We can rush sign some bang average players and then moan at the end. I don't think we have missed out on anyone that I think wow we should have signed him. This is league two, we will be signing players accordingly. Players will become desperate for a pay package and we will be standing there with something to offer them.

Bradford picked up Kyle Reid on trial, released from the championship and had no club went for a trial and was one of the best wingers in the division. If the season was starting tomorrow I would be worried but we are not even in July yet.

Just seen in the paper we are looking to sign:

Dale Tonge
Ben Harding or Luke Gutteridge
Damien Mozika
Jordan Chappell
Elliot Benyon
Mattheiu Manset ?? (AK admitted to being in Paris)

Plus other long standing targets.

AK also said we need a centre half and 2 strikers (one being Benyon plus another). So there's your 7

We have 3 trialists that we know of coming in, with Morris leaving this will free up some space.

Would that bring an end to the Jordan Robertson rumour then or is there still hope?

Morris has now left maybe some more room? Not sure we're that leaves everyone.

Personally I would like to sign another winger, so we had 3 plus Thompson.

I wouldn't go to over board believing everything written in the H/E some of it is speculation picked up from here.

However losing Morris to Northampton and gaining Gutteridge would feel like our club had lost £10 one day and found £100 the next.. :) EDIT..However should be said it is rumoured that both Gutteridge and Harding are heading to Oxford.

This Manset talk is surely pie-in-the-sky. He was playing up front for Shanghai Shenhua in 11/12, alongside Nicolas Anelka!

I don't want to get drawn in, but in this signings drought, I can't help but fixate on the possibility...

I see Robbo (Chris Robertson) has got himself fixed up after leaving Preston - just signed for Port Vale, along with another of our "old boys" (albeit only ever on loan) Gavin Tomlin, from Southend.

In terms of the level of football, L2 is quite a step up from the Shenhua.

That's likely to be a different matter altogether (although, the Shenhua are in some trouble financially).

I would like AK to have a look at Kieffer Moore at least offer him a trial. He got a fair few goals last season and he is only 19
