Manse
Assuming he plays on Saturday,Manse will make his 300th appearance for the Gulls, against Northampton-one of only 9 players who have done so for us.Has also played 40 cup ties.
Needs to go some way to catch Hilly though-he eventually finished on a club record 474:421 league/53 cup.
Congratulations Lee-hopefully you will mark the occasion with the winning goal!

The word is used too often, but is appropriate for manse - legend.

Silly Luke...
We've played them twice in the Cup, so it's 149 years. Dufus!

no sir! 2003 - a glorious opening day of the season where we played them off the park and annihilated them 1-0 thanks to a Jason Fowler goal.Behind-the-Gulls wrote:Probably take us that long to beat them at Sixfields!
ah, Jason Fowler. If only his hips hadn't been made out of cheese. Where is he now?

But for the cheesy hips he wouldn't have played for us. But what a great footballer.happytorq wrote: no sir! 2003 - a glorious opening day of the season where we played them off the park and annihilated them 1-0 thanks to a Jason Fowler goal.

Russell used to get all the plaudits, but Fowler was a properly classy footballer. As said above though, if he hadn't suffered injury problems, he'd not have been playing at Plainmoor. Think he was on the coaching staff at Cardiff (or Swansea?) last I heard.
Oh yeah, congratulations to Manse too. Maybe not quite as classy, but an excellent club man!

We, Torquay, have played Northampton 122 times so one can only assume that the rest of Manse's 300 appearances against them actually took place playing for Oxford and Luton. Official site must have made some kind of mistake.
