I see our former striker ( Walsall / Torquay ) has got off to a great goal scoring start up at York City. Are you missing him at all?

He's started well at York and good luck to the lad.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

No not really. Fair play he has had a good start for York but he was fairly average for us and just had the odd moment where he would do something special like the goal he scored against York.

Our two strikers have scored one goal between them. Jarvis has scored three already but apparently we are not missing him. Yeah right.

Just because he scored three times this year for York doesn't mean he would of done that here. He wasn't exactly prolific for us in his time here. I guess Worthington knows how to get the best out of him.

He was stuck out on the right of midfield more of the time for us, was never given a chance to score much. I'm glad he's doing well now, deserves the opportunity.

I always did like Ryan Jarvis but I think we've got enough fire power to go without him with our new signings Hawley Ball, and Benyon.

I seem to recall suggesting that Jarvis wasn't a mug and, I seem to recall also being mocked by (your friend and mine) Brucie Bonus for my attitude.

Apparently now, he's the best thing since sliced bread.

Is it only me who is getting suspicious that Tezza might not be altogether serious in his posting?

OP, I always liked Jarvis, he knows where the goal is. The problem we suffered during his time here is being lumbered with a manager who liked playing people out of position (see Nathan Craig). We gave Jarvis about 5 games in his proper position with proper support and he got 2 against L1 Yeovil, a screamer against York and a couple of others besides.

I have a feeling York are bobbins and he just happens to be the biggest turd in the bowl. However, that doesn't automatically mean that he is in fact a turd at all.

Matt.
