The Football League don't care about their customers, there's such a long queue I reckon they'll go out of business and we'll be left with just the Premiership and the BSP

8.30pm: Our sources tell us a striker is in a car on the way to the County Ground. Torquay's Elliot Benyon is the man is question. The 24-year-old has scored 14 goals for The Gulls this season and could just be the perfect replacement for Charlie Austin. Whether the deal is permanent or not we'll have to wait and see.
Was just in our local paper, anything from your end?

Was 'just in your local paper'? Do they print on a minute by minute basis then?ChrisBarsby wrote:8.30pm: Our sources tell us a striker is in a car on the way to the County Ground. They're doing a transfer clock watch sort of thing, following all the clubs in league one.

And there's a bizarre suggestion that his signing might not be permanent? It would be a strange scenario if not.

I just noticed that myself. We do have what I would call inept writers at our local paper, but more often than not they're accurate with transfer reportings. Just seem to screw up on the type of transfer occasionally.

Dissapointing really, although expected, think we would of got more at a tribunal.
The worst thing about it though, is once again, we sell a striker who is scoring our goals just before the transfer deadline, with what looks like no replacement lined up!

Dammit, not nearly enough if you ask me.
What now then, Kee up front on his own? Sign a striker before the window closes in 119 minutes time? 4-4-2 with Bevan and Potter up front and Danny in goal?
Matt.

Awful bit of business if confirmed. Swindon are about 15? places above is in the League structure, and got nearly 10 times that for Austin. It's because of deals like this that our club will never go anywhere. We're a soft touch, with evidentlt little idea about the market value of our own players. I'm losing faith at a rate of knots.
