I just don't understand why people keep harping on about Knill's previous record as a manager. I don't think that it matters a jot, what is important is to review his performance as our manager this season. His team have got just 2 points from the last six games, & only won two games this season, which is getting on a third of the way over.

He did say he would use the first 10 games to assess the squad and that's what he did. He's trying to change things against a backdrop of poor results and a large injury list. We've just got a point and an improved performance so now we move on and focus on the next game.

Yes or course it does, but you can use this argument, after each match. & even if he loses the next six games it will still be a valid opinion.

So basically, your strategy is, 'Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope it all turns out for the best, rather than judge on the evidence we have in front of us.' - what a good idea.

That is what I have been saying too Hector although I don't wish to get into a protracted argument about it with others. My opinions on Knill and I presume yours too have been based on what he has done since the opening day draw with Wimbledon and whilst it is possible that we could go on a good run in our next 10 games there is no indication or suggestion of this happening. Therefore on all known form and stats he isn't fulfilling his managerial responsibilities to the requisite standard.

I don't think there is anything wrong with thinking that.

Should we go on a run and start to look like a solid, cohesive unit then i'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong not to trust him. What will those who do trust him think if we end up in the bottom 2 after the next ten games though? Say give him more time?

The number of football matches we play in league 2 is not infinite and therefore we need to be seeing slight improvements in results, performances and managerial decisions pretty soon or we'll be in the same boat as last year before we know it and i fear it has the name TITANIC written on it.

I am sure Knill is really committed to doing well at the club but commitment and common sense are two different things.

I think the following stats have somehow passed you by

League position: 22nd one place and one point ahead of Northampton and Accrington.
Played 14
won 2 - yes, we have reached November and we have won just twice - that even includes cup games
drawn 5
lost 7 - that is only 4 less than we lost in the whole of 11/12 season.
scored 14
conceded 24 (only Cheltenham have conceded more but then they have scored 5 goals more than us
goal difference - 10 (after just 14 games! The worst in the league)
points 11

Yes, 11 points, already at least 11, 12 or 13 points behind 'big clubs' like Newport County and Dagenham & Redbridge, the club people were laughing at Brian Saah for joining, Burton and Exeter, or Morecambe and Mansfield.

But, sheer blind faith insists that we are about to embark on some sort of amazing run that will see us overhaul all these teams above us and rise to the giddy heights of 18th.

What exactly do you base any grounds for optimism on? Especially as you have been spouting nonsense for about 6 weeks now about how our fortunes are going to turn.
