Just because someone disagreed with you Andy, it doesn't mean you have to be silly about it!

Top result, credit to Knill for changing it up and it's worked. Now if we can progress next week and take a win against an out of form Chesterfield then it sets things up nicely for the Argyle game..

I know, i'm a big posh sod with plums in my mouth and credit to Knill for changing it up. Do it every week and the law of averages says it will work at least once. Full credit to Knill and full credit to the players for a thoroughly professional performance yesterday. Like I said though and also Extreme said it too, "Only words".

At least you have come on and commended the performance Nick so I can't knock you for that.

Now i'm off to present a promo vid for Hamiltons Water Breaks so if you'll excuse me....

A magnificent result yesterday lets be fair. I don't subscribe to the theory that Bury are that bad that we should have won. They would have seen it as a big chance to get three points and would have been up for it.
Listening to the commentary it did appear for all the world that we were about to get mullered.
However its time that Knill got some credit - as the radio commentators alluded to, they had spoken to Knill before the match and he had said specifically "no more excuses" - he had a stronger squad to pick from and they did the business.
Leaving Pearce out was a massive call - and had we lost Knill would have been lambasted for it. It was great to see a couple of players get their heads to the ball and score goals.
Someone said - well what what will happen when the loan players go back, but for all the criticism of Knill he has managed to get in some quality loan players.
O'Connor looks an absolute prospect, MaCourt looks useful and in ditching the useless Callum Ball and replacing him with a centre forward who can actually head the ball (and has scored two in two games) looks a pretty decent move to me.

Good on Knill for picking a team which not only won away from home but scored three goals. He was on to a no win situation if he'd lost at Bury on his first return since moving on from there. Give him credit where it's due.
I don't understand this argument about using loan players. Surely the best eleven for a game are picked irrespective of 'our' players or those on loan. Professional footballers know the score about whether they're selected or not. Look at Nico for example. He knows Cruise is breathing down his neck so to stay in the team he has to up his game. Yesterday he was in the team of the day in the Football League Paper. Same for Pearce and O'Connor. For me the latter is a better all-round defender. Competition for places, which is what we now have, can only benefit the team and , more importantly, results.
At last Knill actually had almost a full squad from which to choose. From seeing McCallum last week against Portsmouth I could tell he was the striker we've needed. I hope he's allowed to play in the Cup next Saturday.
Moving up the table is now a realistic goal.
