Think someone is guilty of reading what they want to read, not what's actually been written.

I could substantially add to this leaking thread then thought, NO !!

(forevertufc and Red Bigneck would turn my post into a flaccid droop and take the piss)

This whole matter had passed me by. Hadn't noticed Supergulls doing this - but like someone else said, he is getting his information from somewhere. Is he a club employee?

What many of you have missed is that, If like me This fan has been told something by a member of the club. Playing staff of other member then it's in all likelyhood that he was told in confidence. Like i do. But there is one difference. I keep my mouth shut.
Whether you realise it or not Other fans do look on our thread regularly.
There is a fan of Rochdale on here today. Has he seen this thread. If so it won't take him long to let other fans know and eventualy Rochdale FC will wise up to this and ask the fans to keep an eye on news on here. If there is news of player discord then that can travel to the other team and they can target that player and upset him
So please think before you post. you might just be undermining your own team. at the least you may well be breaking a confidence.

Someone else making the massive (and erroneous) assumption that Super is told this information by someone inside the club.

Read my post properly Matt. Nowhere did I say he WAS told by the club. I said IF he was told be anyone in the club. There is a large difference. He may not have.

The highlighted elements all point to your original post being accusatory, rather than theoretical.

Needs to be past tense if it's to be theoretical. "I would have kept my mouth shut" for example.

Not deliberate, as per Kernow earlier, but the dangerous insinuation is there, deliberate or not.

Glostergull you are probably getting the wrong end of the stick completely. I have no idea where the information comes from but I reckon you are completely wrong in your assumption that he is told the team line up by anyone.
I would probably guess that Knill line's his team up in training sessions before saturday - therefore it probably isn't rocket science to deduce what saturdays line up is likely to be.
The only issue with this of course is that the line up might have changed by two o'clock on saturday - a player might have gone down with chicken pox etc etc.
The point is therefore if supergulls is posting what he thinks the line up is at 2pm on matchday there is of course no guarantee that those eleven will take to the pitch.
So basically the crux of the matter is as follows.

1. The notion that any opposition manager is going to act on any information posted on here by supergulls is quite frankly absurd.

2. Even more absurd is that we have the chief executive of the club seemingly telling us that Point 1 is in fact likely to happen.

I doubt very much if Andrew Candy came on here with this story if it was only the case of leaking team lineups. I can surmise some other information was being leaked.
I noticed that other members of this forum tend to leak information about players being signed. This is dangerous ground. Any player can be on the verge of signing and then someone leaks this info only to find that the player has suddenly gone to another team. Now it is entirely possible that there is nothing gained by anyone trawling this site. But what if anyone has or could pick up information leading to a player being poached. I remain consistent in my view. You all do need to keep in mind what you write in this forum and think beforehand.
I do tend to write fairly quickly as I am also working when on here. So I don't tend to be so accurate on grammar as Matt who has no other life. Well not much of one. He has a young lady on tow and I do wonder how long it will be before she yells at him to get a life. HE will be brought to heel eventually, it comes to us all. lol.

Oh my lordy lord.

Are you telling me that Matt has a girlfriend?

Matt, if this is true, let me be the first to congratulate you. Of course, as a man well versed in law, you will be aware of the borderline between tying someone up for fun and holding them against their will.

Does this mean you've finally popped your cherry? How did the ' I'm sorry, that's never happened before' line go down? Apologies if I'm a bit premature, I meant immature.
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

I think this thread is getting somewhat lost in the content being discussed. Best thing to do is lock the thread and move on, maybe supergulls could end this thread with 6 numbers for Saturdays lotto draw if he is so good at predicting things

Presumably, this information stems from the club at some point, even if Supergulls is relaying 1st, 2nd or 3rd hand information, otherwise you would not get a club employee coming on here asking them to stop. If Supergulls is spouting speculation, then the club coming on here asking him to stop is nonsensical.

It's already been said by me and other's, just because supergulls has this information, it does not mean to say this information is coming from anyone at the club. As said, on team line ups all anyone has to do is go to training on Thursday and see how the team line up, that will tell what the starting line up is likely to be.

As for the the rest, as said again, it's speculation, not difficult, any player who is out the team will no doubt have an axe to grind, I could easily do a thread now claiming to know Martin Rice, Aaron Downes and Dale Tonge are very happy at the club, don't if that is the case, but wouldn't mind betting I would be right, see that's why it's dangerous to presume this info came from with in the club.
