That is why i urge the board to implement changes from the personnel we already have if we can't pay him off. It is the only solution when hands are tied. He HAS agreed to terms and if those terms fail to stipulate that if he gets us playing like yellow pontipines (look it up if you're unsure) and losing every week or he could face dismissal then we're pretty much stumped. I agree with you chunky but we've got to try and unravel what we are left with and how much manoeuvrability we have with regards finances.

Its a shame whilst we were up there today that nobody thought to borrow Scunthorpe Uniteds trained squirrel that they used last year, so we could at least get him to try and finish the job off .

I was out watching my lad play yesterday so have no idea other than the result how things went in the game for us. Our league position is clear only a fool could fail to see how much trouble we're in right now, sadly and with great regret I now believe something has to change.

Alan Knill is the manager and ultimately must shoulder the blame, however I do still back him, this situation is by no means is fully down to him, some our players have had a huge part to play in this, should the club be relegated some of our players will need to hang their heads in shame.

Hargreaves, Mansell, Nicho...NO !!!!!!!!! never, don't let them anywhere near the management of our club. Right now a proven fire fighter is needed, saved Barnet on a yearly basis until he got the Gills job, one name only for me Martin Allen.

Yes he is likely to be out of our price range, so it may come down to Thea once again, the alternative is relegation, Aldershot were forced into administration by it, Hereford have a group of fans paying some players wages because of it, we must avoid it at all costs.

With respect I am unable to back him whatsoever, I am aware that some on here have witnessed patches of decent play but to consistently turn out the performances we are currently with what I consider a reasonable team is IMO time for a change. I agree under a new manager some players need to be told this is it, their last chance, don't perform/play as instructed and your out.

Again I have massive respect for the board and it's employees but unfortunately for the club and I the lack of action is doing nothing to entice me to fork out close on £100/game plus fuel over the Dec/Christmas period.

Also looking a bit further forward for Knill if he has a future here.

If Knill stays and somehow manages to get us out of this then next season is going to be even tougher because not only will he be expected to get us playing something like league 2 football but he will also have to overachieve as the bare minimum in order to win some of the fans back round. Any bad start or crap footy will be pounced upon immediately.

If Knill stays and we go down, not only will he be in an untenable position but the fans will pretty much want a return to the league regardless of budget as the bare minimum.

Knill is highly unlikely to deliver any of these scenarios and will have to be sacked at some point so we may as well do it now instead of having another season in whatever division worried about Knill.

Martin Ling got us into the play-offs a few months before his illness took over. Yes he inherited a few good players from Paul Buckle, who had taken us to a play-off final at Old Trafford, but he also brought in some good ones himself. Alan Knill has ostensibly done likewise and signed a few decent players, but has yet to achieve anything with his squad. Even allowing him some slack for injuries and 'bad luck', however, we all expected, quite reasonably, more than bottom of the league at this stage of the season. More is still possible, of course. Unlikely, the way things are going. Very unlikely, but possible. Trying to be positive..
