Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I've done that (actually singing it), to that song, whilst driving around the busy streets of Torbay.

Does this mean I have a bit of Alan partridge in me or is there just a bit of partridge in all of us?

:~D
You are my torquay, my only torquay, you make me happy when skies are grey, you'll never know, just, how much i love you, so don't take my torquay away.

I don't know chunks but I've certainly had many instances in my life where i have 'done a partridge'.

I have actually on many occasions responded to someone during conversation by delivering a partridge quote as though it was an automatic response only for the other person to look a me a bit weird (but that's usual with me anyway :) ).

Like cashback, backofthenet, in off the red, jackanackanory, Jurassic park, absabloodyexactly, kiss my face, smell my cheese, butter my arse, as well as other one liners like "don't know that word carry on " (when someone is talking to me and they say a 'big' word I've not heard before or don't know what it means. Or "might make that noise, be a bit weird" when someone coughs funny or sneezes funny or whatever in conversation. Or "I'll have a pint of bitter" whenever someone asks me what i want to drink. Or "It's all happening" or "That bloke drinks yellow stuff in tins, he's an idiot" when i'm referring to someone i don't like for example. Partridgeisms make me laugh and i use them all the time and if i look a bit odd then who gives a sh*t? Often people get them and think it's really cool because they too are Partridge lovers.

I have a passion for Torquay and a passion for Partridge which is easily the best comedy ever made. If there was actually a bloke out there in the big wide world exactly like Alan Partridge then i would like to befriend him and buy him a ginsters and a directors bitter most definatley.

Being in the shit is only a negative way of saying we still have a huge opportunity...

The past couple of games have seen us grasp the opportunity and you know what, the play offs are only 13 points off...with some belief and hard work we could easily make it to the PO's. Hard to have imagined that a few games back - funny old game init!

Feeling good for the rest of the month

We need to hope that AK doesn't get the dreaded MOM curse

Want to hear the 'Juan - Knill' song often over the next 3 games

It is the season of goodwill to all so let us all put this ticketing debate to rest as it is getting a bit unpleasant. Let us focus on pulling together to try and beat Exeter and that doesn't include booing any of our players when they are on the pitch so if you insist in doing so then fine, just don't expect the player (s) in question to turn around to you and say, "you know what? You're right. I've been playing like a turd and now, now, tonight Matthew I'm going to be...........LIONEL MESSI". It's more effective if your name IS actually Matthew though. :)

We need everyone to get down to Plainmoor including Danny with the drum and get behind the lads as best you can because we are in the best form of the season and even another draw on sunday would prolong that and keep everyone happy. Just think of the confidence it would bring if we were unbeaten in the next 2 vital derbies. Even better if we manage to win one or both! Just bite the bullet, get a ticket and accept it isn't perfect but it's all the club can do at the minute. I'm sure they will look at this scenario again for next season as obviously all 3 Devon clubs will still be in league 2. :~D

POSITIVITY IS THE NAME OF THE GAME AND I WANNA PLAY THE GAME WITH YOU!!

2 wins and 1 draw in 3 games with just 1 goal conceded against 3 sides, who although in our case the league doesn't show it (We have only lost two out of 12 games) are pretty good sides is in anybodys book a reason to be positive. To not concede a goal either at Dagenham or at home to an in form Southend and to win both games is a reason to be positive. Actually if we could get two wins on the trot then I would very much look on it as positive. You also, like us, have one of the best keepers in the League which is another great positive in any team.
So 7 points out of 9 with Exeter and Plymouth both being winnable games (although I think Plymouth are quite a difficult proposition now) you have every reason to be positive.
I was particularly impressed with the standard of crosses which you put in and in my mind if you get quality crosses into the box you can always score goals even if you are not playing particularly well. I wish we delivered the quality of ball that you put in on Boxing Day because we get into those positions so often and our delivery is poor which ruins the amount of possession we have in games as I expect you saw.
I would always say to every supporter to be positive because even when things are down there is usually some good things around the corner and why you support Torquay or in my case Bristol Rovers rather than Manchester United or one of the top Premier League teams. There are probably always going to be more downs than ups!!!
Good luck and Happy New Year to all you Gulls.
