Youngsters
What's your thoughts in the young players coming through the ranks at the club? Do you think anyone looks extremely promising?

Sullivan rates himself higher than he should right now, but looks like he could be a useful Div 2 player in the future.

Centre back Oneill Odofin is top class, he'll only get better and he's got the stature to go with it. The kid linked with Villa (name escapes me) looks nice enough.
Dan Sullivan is one of the dumbest people in the country, which might explain your attitude towards him. I think he'll make it, but he needs a loan spell to play some football. Quite why the perfectly capable Ash Yeoman is out while the completely untested Dan Sullivan is on the bench is one of the great mysteries of our time.
Matt.

Haha from what I've seen on his twitter, he's definitely not the smartest!
Sam Chaney, who was on the bench against Exeter couldn't even play simple passes when he was warming up at half time. He gave Elliot Benyon are run around collecting the ball from his misplaced passes, not seen anything else if him though.

Just because he played a few stray passes doesn't mean he isn't that good.. if he is on the bench for a professional football team, he is doing something rightLord_Torquay10 wrote:Haha from what I've seen on his twitter, he's definitely not the smartest!

I wasn't criticising him, just commenting on what I saw. Like you said, the fact that he's 17 and on the bench against Exeter, he must be doing something right. The man stood next to me at the Exeter game though Chaney was the mascot.

Cheers TG, you're right, it was Prynn
I had forgotten about Ives, as mentioned by Barry, he's another to keep tabs on. Goalkeeper Lavercombe should be on the list also.
We won't be fielding a homegrown XI anytime soon, but we could certainly be producing a meaningful chunk of talent before long.
Chaney is a bit weird, it seems he's got a Porsche, which he smashed up the other day. He's not especially upset about it, so my guess is that Mummy will be taking another chuck out of his trust fund to buy him a new one. I could, of course, be completely wrong and doing him a [completely irrelevant] injustice.

This situation, at this time, is not the right time to start playing youngsters

You weren't criticising him, you were just highlighting, a specific moment where something didn't go right... Oh waitLord_Torquay10 wrote:I wasn't criticising him, just commenting on what I saw. I meant I didn't mean to seem negative towards him, but admit it was negative.

If you can see things on the pitch the referee cannot see;
Look positively upon the team when all the floodlights fail,
and go to all the football games through wind and rain and hail;
Shout advice to officials and players until the air turns blue,
and lose your temper when others lose theirs too;
If you can do all this and still think you're having fun,
Yours is the pitch and all that's on it,
and, which is more, you'll be a fan, my son..

I will do my very, very best but at my age, the name Harry Mouzourus is not the easiest to remember ........ In fact, 'there's only one Harry Mouzourus' doesn't easily roll off the tongueBelarussianBarryGull wrote:Levi Ives and Harry Mouzouros. Remember the names!
