The reason you don't understand the sarcasm is that there is no sarcasm in there. Those are the instructions. There have been many, many threads on here bemoaning the difficulty in sitting in a reserved seat. This difficulty may be easily avoided and my instructions are the best way to go about it. A lot of people seem to have great difficulty in doing this, and they complain loudest on the internet.
