Good to hear we are looking at Labadie as a permanent signing and/or get him for the season. Would be great news if we secure Labadie. Good to hear he is keen to stay. I had worried he'd show up at Northampton after his one month here. But hopefully neither him nor Marquis will now.

Yes - good news, but no news could mean bad news.

The main channel for information is the OS. No news could mean literally anything.

And yes please to Labadie. A proper player in a number of ways, which is quite rare for us. Our midfielders can usually pass OR dribble OR tackle OR shoot. He is decent at all of those, and is at an age where he could get better still.

Labadie staying must be a bigger possibility with Notts County signing Hayden Mullins for the rest of the season.

Nottingham Post seems to think that there is a strong possibility that he (JL) will join us on a permanent deal.

Western Morning News also says that we are expected to sign Labadie on a permanent deal after he settled up his contract with Notts County. Also, we are set to sign Man U's Jack Rudge, a 19 yr old midfielder on loan in time to play in the Pompey match. CH is also chasing another centre forward and a winger. It is all very quiet though on the OS.

I haven't attached a link as I don't know how to on my Mac!

Today's Daily Telegraph has a match report on Northampton 0 Portsmouth 1 in which Alan Knill is quoted as follows:" It was an outstanding performance (Northampton's). If you are going to lose, that's how to do it. (!). If we continue to play like that we believe we can get out of this."
I haven't made this up!!

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
