Shouldn't this thread be on the banter board? Who was the idiot who started it on All Things Plainmoor..??
Oh...

Lol, Mr Gullscorer, it directly effects Torquay united, personally think you got it in the right place. As for who's going down , right now, as I've said on another thread Wycombe are currently in the worst form in the league, and don't have a points buffer, unless their forms turns soon, they're in big trouble.
Northampton have a new manager and some good signings, if they settle quickly, AC could pull themselves out of it, who knows, could there be a shocker , Cheltenham started amongst the promotion favourites currently on 35 pts, but 20th in the form table after a mini-revival in December now have no wins in their last 5 games, and Hartlepool and Exeter although do have a points buffer, but 23rd and 19th in the current form table.
As for us, currently 16 th in the current form table, and this is a serious case of stating the obvious , but Bury, Northampton and Accy next three homes, our chances of pulling clear could rest on these games and our home form full stop.

Mansfield and Wycombe remain likely candidates in my view. There are other teams joining the pack as Forever has pointed out. I thought Hartlepool were a very poor side when we played them earlier in the season and it could well be them who get caught. However, I am becoming concerned about the number of postponed games beginning to pile up for us. Saturday's match must be very, very doubtful and we will need a couple of dry days for the Northampton game to go ahead. We don't want a situation where we are playing three games every week at the end of the season.
P.S. Burton game re-arranged for Feb 25th apparently.

Well we clearly won't be playing this weekend so I guess once again our minds will be elsewhere.
Unfortunately I can't see Argyle, with Luke McCormick ruled out for the rest of the season, doing us a favour on Saturday and see them losing convincingly at Northampton.
At least we have a bit of a cushion between ourselves and Northampton, not that it should matter anyway as it won't be long before we pass Argyle as they slide down for their normal end of season relegation scrap.
How many seasons is it now? Strange they think they are a big club!

Think I actually want Northampton to win, it can only help are cause to drag more teams in to the dogfight.

I think a point would be the best result, pulls Argyle into it a little and stops A.C from getting any kind of momentum going.

No, cut off Northampton at the bottom and leave only one other relegation place. If everyone beats everyone, then record points will be needed. What we need are two clubs to be outstandingly shit for the rest of the year to make our job of staying up much easier.

I agree with ferrarilover. Grind Cobblers into the dirt, then there's only one other relegation spot to worry about.
"Also, stands aren't sentient."
Agreed - Knill would have taken us down so I hope he's instrumental in taking Northampton down instead. Good luck to Argyle tomorrow. Also hope City do us a favour by beating Portsmouth although if the weather forecast proves to be correct, I reckon their game will be called off along with ours.ferrarilover wrote:No, cut off Northampton at the bottom and leave only one other relegation place. Exeter have had no win in six games. They couldn't even beat Portsmouth at home today! All other teams in the lower half of the table have had at least one win, except Wycombe who have had no win in eight games. There's still time for any of these teams to turn things around, but it gets more problematical week by week, and there may be a few clubs who don't realise the potential danger they're in, either because they think they're 'too big' to go down or they've been higher in the table until now and have been looking upwards not downwards. The Greeks need to start looking over their shoulders..

It's February 8th and Exeter haven't scored a goal of their own in the regulation 90 yet this year. Oddly though, they're unbeaten in three. Well, when your luck's in...

Torquay, not because of their league position but because they refused/were unable to play all their matches by May 3rd.
