John Marquis
Marquis was sorely missed by us today. Doesn't sound like he'll be here for the Argyle game. Let's hope Stockley is up for the role.

couldn't be worse than hawley!nickfrench82 wrote: Given that he likes to maraude forward, and is comfortable on the ball, O'Connor wouldn't be the worst option if we want to go with a big guy up there
The gulls are going up
Currently injured, loan now ended, Knill has gone and Millwall have also sacked their Manager ... so it's not looking too hopeful we will see him again!gullno4 wrote:so what's the deal with marquis? I can't keep up is he still here or not?

Joined Northampton on loan!
Shame. Good player for us, he was. He'll do well there. Hopefully not tomorrow.
I only saw Marquis once against Bristol Rovers when he scored the penalty. DIdn't really do anything else in the game to my mind.

He played well for us, and was one of our more effective forwards during his brief stint. No point in trying to convince ourself otherwise, just because he's playing for our rivals.
Hopefully our defenders will be even more effective!

Sod it. I'd rather have him on our side than against us. Most effective forward we've had this season.bigleigh wrote:Joined Northampton on loan!

If the same defensive four play tomorrow, I have little fear. Pearce and O'Connor looked class together v Pompey.nickfrench82 wrote:He played well for us, and was one of our more effective forwards during his brief stint. I would see that as good news. He is a decent player, and I am glad he is leaving the cobblers.PlainmoorRoar wrote:Was set to stay at Northampton till the end of the season but has been recalled

Happened to us last year with Jaws and Chaps, about bloody time Moneybags FC had a handful of the real world.
