He has effectively been sacked by Chippenham Town after a series of breaches of club discipline, including missing training sessions.
Goodness knows where he will end up next after this, but it is certainly going to be a long haul back if he is ever going to earn a pro deal with anyone again you would think.
Expect some Swansea players to go on loan to Accy now. Garry and James Beattie are very good friends. I had one of my strangest nights out in Torquay when Garry introduced me to James who at that time was a very odd person to say the least.
That picture of Mackerz is him all over, it would seem. Clearly at a match, but not interested in the slightest. Got his headphones in (Apple ones, natch, got to keep up appearances) and looks like someone just ran over his dog.
If any kids are reading this and aspiring to become footballers, take this loser as an example. It's got bugger all to do with talent. Lloyd Macklin has more ability than Gary Neville, the rest is history.
I see both Rene and Zebs were on the scoresheet for Newport last night, as they finally put an end to Oxford's long unbeaten away run this season in a 3-2 win. What would we give now to have the two of them back up front for us in the run in?
Mind you, the photo on the BBC isn't perhaps the most flattering of Rene! I guess all those postponements have taken their toll!!!
I went to watch Dartmouth play in SDFL Div 1 the other week. A certain Karl Baker was leading the line for them (bear in mind this is a level where no one is paid and everyone basically plays for fun). As expected, he was a cut above most people on the pitch and notched a couple of goals. He has bags of pace (for this level!) and seemed to have a decent ping on him. Despite his impressive display I can still see why he was let go...
