Going for a 2-1 win for the Gulls (ever the optimist!) and will be getting up at 02.45am to listen to the commentary.

I must be mental :-o

But wait, Chris H calls for a hero. Not sure who that will be but a great time for the miracle to start.
On the law of averages we're due several penalties and a thumping home win!! I'll be there to see it happen! :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
Step forward Gilbert!

CH also said that he wants his forwards to be turning defenders and banging it in the corner like they do every day in training. Like somebody has mentioned on another site the defenders our forwards are turning in training are our defenders who get outwitted by the opposing forwards every game!

Gilbert for central defence! ;-)

Why not a whole team of GILBERTS? After all, there have been quite few impersonators this season masquerading as the real thing. The only good one was DANCING GILBERT. Make him captain. Recall OnecanLasher; make him manager. Only GILBERT can save us now.

4 or 5 changes
Red card
3 nil Rochdale win
Ladabies last game for us (no point in keeping him unless he wants Conference football on 1/2 wages next season)

Happy days!

Hargreaves goes for a new formation to confound the Rochdale preparations

5 Defenders

5 Strikers

Miss out the midfield and hoof it up the park to the waiting forwards.

Result - we beat a dizzy Rochdale (because their defenders are being turned so often!) with 4 bottom corner goals.!!!!!

leaving this one well alone, altho the sensible thing would be to back a one goal defeat as seems to be the norm at plainmoor recently!!

we've got to start playing as our lives depend on it, they soon will players, have you not realised, you are all gonna be out of work on the 2nd monday in may!!

hoping for a squeaky 1-0 win, but expecting dale to head back to lancashire with all three points. maybe a few of the other teams keeping us where we are will slip up for a change, exeter will probably win tho to send us 13 behind!

think there'll be just under 2000 tonight, i'll be listening i think

How in the name of sanity could Danny Stevens be "pushing for a start"? He is lucky to have found a club mad enough it give him a contract, let alone a starting place.

I do wonder if the players are aware of the historical evidence, failure at Torquay means an end to your career as a professional footballer.

Anyway, I'm obviously hoping for a win tonight but I just can't see how it's going to happen. I just hope it doesn't dent what little confidence the players have left too much as the next three games after Rochdale are all definitely winnable.

Having said that, this is just the sort of game where we could win well...

I'll save myself some time and post this now:

Christ, Rochdale are crap. The division is meaningless, we matched them aside from one moment of quality. Hitting the post three times is just crazy bad luck but typical Torquay. We were better than them all game but, once again, Rochdale head home with the points and that's why we're going down.

Matt.
