One of the favourite cars you've had and why.

.One of the my favourite cars I've had was a 1960 red Bond mini two seater open top, mainly because it was a quirky three wheeler. I had the bonnet fly off whilst I was driving broke down about once a week but I learnt a lot about the car as I had to repair it myself.:keepie:

Jag XJ6 when I was 18. Did less than 1mpg at times, but would happily slide round roundabouts with the merest tickle.

Focus ST a few years ago was amusing. 300 horse power is as much as you really need on the road. Overtaking a breeze, fully loaded inside and out and bright orange, so easy to find in the multi-storey.

Matt.

Ford Anglia as it was easy to park...mind you, not much room for shopping. And I loved my Freelander as it made me feel tall.

Agree Scott. It's completely unprofessional of Matt to bring colour in to this.

Shame on you, Matt.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

My favourite has and always will be Jaguar. I admit that the 70's was not a good period for them. But then Layland couldn't bake a cake let alone make a decent car.
But since they separated jaguar has grown and now is one if not the best car manufacturer in the World.
My best Jag was the red XJR I have but I also have the much newer Daimler Super V8. It's one hell of a lot more powerfull but unfortunately does drink more juice than the XJR ever did. If I could get one I would go for the Daimler super 6. An XJR with Daimler luxury. maybe a slightly backward step but I think it's a better car than the Super V8 even though it's not quite as powerful. Maybe one day i may the Aston I always wanted.
Always Look on the bright side of life

I once had an old Sunbeam Alpine sports car. The only sports car I've ever owned; an enjoyable drive with a sense of adventure, but luxury, or should I say comfort, was noticeably absent from those old sports cars, perhaps more so because once out of my youth I somehow seemed to become rather too big for them..!! :-/
