Oh, I thought it was a thread to tell everyone about your elation at just getting out of the nick. =D
Very interesting and I'd have him back at Plainmoor like a shot but he's too good for the conference, will get fixed up with a league club no probs and would command more than we could offer him.
NOTE: In no way am I claiming that Broadley Gull committed any crimes or spent time at her majesty's pleasure. :-o Only joking BG.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

He'd have to change his name to "Broadmoor Gull"...AustrianAndyGull wrote:NOTE: In no way am I claiming that Broadley Gull committed any crimes or spent time at her majesty's pleasure. :-o Only joking BG.

Also - very surprisingly - Olejnik has been released by Peterborough. No chance of him dropping down to Conference, though ! Wouldn't be surprised if Argyle or City show an interest in Mark Ellis.

Olejnik released, or listed? I thought he had a year left?
"Just" released is a little misleading, he was released a week or so ago. With this in mind, it wouldn't surprise me if he was among the "20 or so" players to whom Chris is already speaking. The thing which lead to his initial departure is long gone, so he might not be totally resistant to a move on that score. A lot in his personal life would probably mean it's a non-starter, but there's no harm in Jesus having asked the question.

I'd heard he voted for Conchita Wurst on the sly last Saturday and got found out by his team-mates. They and PUFC just simply couldn't forgive.cambgull wrote:He hasn't been released tomogull, he's been listed. I am quite surprised though, considering he won their Player Of The Season award.

By the looks of it, Peterborough have a policy where anyone entering their last year of contract will be automatically listed. I suppose it's a way of getting money for a player who might not want to stay. Of course, if they do want to stay, they sign a new contract with at least a year to go. Very clever.

Yeah, this is common practise for Peterborough. Anyone with 12 months left either signs a new deal or is transfer listed, so that they can get a fee. If they do neither then they will play them for the next 12 months still, like Tommy Rowe and Zakuani have done recently. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him sign a new deal quite soon.
I believe we have a 15% sell-on fee for any profit Posh make on what they paid us for Olejnik. Would come in quite handy - along with any money for O'Kane should he move on this summer. Was linked with Aston Villa in January although I think he'll probably stay with the Cherries for at least another season.
