Our only loss and one of only two games in which we failed to score. You're not helping his case, dear Taxi.

Don't go back down the Benyon route. He is too small, too slow and not dynamic enough for this team. He is of the past.
Just spent some time looking at their highlights from previous matches and they do look a good passing team. Seem to give up chances from crosses so Young's delivery from set plays might make them vulnerable. Hope the lads have recovered from their tour(s) of Northern England because we will need to be at our best. Tough match. I go for a 2-2 thriller at the Launa Windows Stadium.

Probably our two worst results so far... Coincidence? :slap:taxilady wrote:Benners did start at Gateshead; also came on as a sub towards the end at Dartford.
Fate: A police dog called Bryn bit Torquay player Jim McNichol and the time while he was receiving treatment was added onto the end of the second half.
If Bowman is out and Briscoe returns then I would like to see him up top with Ofor-Acheampong. Looked useful there against Aldershot when he came on and has more pace and physical presence than Yeoman and Benyon.

Good to hear Bowman and Cameron are in the squad tonight.
I suppose that renders the chat about Benyon starting irrelevant, but if it came down to him and Yeoman I think I would (just) side with Ash.

At the kerb halt - look right - look left -look right again - if all clear quick march!
My only concern for this match was our injury situation. Woking are to be respected and have had some good victories against the likes of Wrexham,Aldershot and Lincoln.
However their unbeaten record seems to be down to scraping late draws against the likes of Dartford and Welling. Whilst we have also failed to beat Dartford that game was away - Woking were home.
Woking apparently also struggled to beat Chester on saturday.
In general we have dispatched lesser opposition with much more ease.
I don't really subscribe to the tiredness issue - Woking have played just as many games as we have.
With all due respect to Woking I think they are in a false position. I wouldn't expect them to be in second place after saturday having played us/Bristol rovers away.
If Bowman and Cameron are fit we will have to much for them. I will go for a 1-0 or 2-0 win.
Woking are 3.25 to lay on betfair - that looks shortish to me so a definate lay for me.

COME ON TORQUAY
Very much looking forward to tonight's match. I'm going for a 2 - 1 win. I don't mind who scores for us but it's almost inevitable that Scott Rendell will score for them. I just hope that we get a decent ref who (a) doesn't think he's the main attraction as the ref for the Nuneaton match did and (b) lets the game flow without loads of petty stoppages. Not much to ask for, is it ??
