Torquay United v Dover Athletic – Saturday 20th September
I am the wife! Got to take them to Plainmoor one day. Took my daughter when she was two and took both to Edgar Street to watch Torquay play Hereford in a pre-season friendly last year. I'll win at least one of them over.Glostergull wrote: Oh bring em over one weekend. we will take em all down to dawlish. leave em there with wife and come back later. Hit the post twice and crossbar (if that was the upshot of poor commentary on the Richards effort first half) once - need the second goal. Especially as they've just had a something out of nothing chance.

funny. i thought Dover supposedly had no players of league experience really. yet they have barry Cogan in the team . don;t know why he's not in the team today but they also have Matt Lock in their side Ex Excretia. so there is some league experience.
We have been a bit lucky so far. it's what you can call an ugly win if it goes the distance.

Sadly, I haven't been to Plainmoor for three years. Small kids and lack of money make it difficult. But every season I hope to get there. Always nice to meet fellow Gulls [/quote]

well as it looks likely. we will be 537 minutes without letting a goal in. how long can we keep this up. that's nearly 6 games without conceding. only 3 more games and we will have equaled the league record. is that worth thinking about?

Dover made 4 new signings in the week, was always going to make a more difficult proposition to play against, just wrap this up now and take another 3 points. COYY

He likes Aston Villa and Hereford. He only got into football a few years ago, his family are more into rugby. But he'll watch whatever is on. I work most Saturday's now though so he can't go to games.
