ricey has been badly and painfully exposed by the defence tonight. :@
So you think rice is so great? He is awful, he can't kick, doesn't command box. Yes, defence has been woeful but he has not helped them at all tonight. FFs we a losing to a tin pot team, and to be fair we deserve to lose.

I totally agree, Downes and Angus have seriously caused this problem by being reckless in previous games and picking up suspensions.

Both should hang their head in shame.

The defence is a total shambles and tonight, as with Telford, we've been ruthlessly exposed.
TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.

27/08/18 - Time to step back from this shambles and focus on things in life that make me happy. TUFC doesn't.

At half time the change should have been made but Hargreaves won't admit he made a mistake in not playing Hutchings.

Thank God thats over.

At least Richards looks genuinely distraught - he's knows he's been poor today, notwithstanding the fact he has been sold down the river by his manager

What a disaster once again. Not learned our lessons from previous mistakes and all the more galling to do it on TV and with Hawley scoring twice.

Easy to say with hindsight, but no-one suggested Richards as a possible centre back. Hutchings had to play, or there is no point in him being in the squad. Awful discipline from Downes and MacDonald, both in the 90th minute and needless suspensions, cost us today.

We are still 6th with a game in hand and only 6 points off top, but it's more points thrown away and we can't afford to not learn from these mistakes.

The Hawley who was one of the worst players to ever play for us.

Alfreton
Telford
Southport
Dartford

All very very poor teams! We are meant to be a full time professional club

Not blaming Richards for that, I think the blame has to go to the person who made the decision as to who would play CB.

Quite possibly our WORST EVER performance in front of live TV cameras in the club's history?

Lots of people who should question themselves tonight ...

1/ The Board for their skinflint approach ... it seems we are no longer a club with a professional approach to winning games ... SHAME ON THEM! :@

2/ Greavsie ... what on earth was he thinking about playing Richards at centre half? Likewise, why start with Ajala in the middle and Briscoe on the wing. ... when clearly we are more effective when they are the other way around ... as was clearly the case in the second half v Wrexham last weekend!!!!? :@

3/ Discipline ... has cost us. The absence of both Downes and MacDonald has cost us that game ... having said that, I would restore both of them to starting berths next week ... Pearce hasn't done enough to keep the shirt

4/ Ricey ... No glaring mistakes today, but the FACT is that he has had to face FIVE efforts on target and all FIVE of them ended up in the back of the net .... time to give Seabright a chance

5/ Wakefield did nothing, time to send him back. Richards back in his PROPER position next week.

6/ Full backs dreadful again .. Tonge weak and Cruise poor ... we need replacements and fast!

agree.

i bet they were taking the p155 on the coach on the way up about hawley and how anyone could play CB against him....................

i feel sorry for richards as he should never have been put in that diabolical position.

having said that young/wakefield were dire today and only credit to ajala and briscoe.

embarrasing to watch on tv.......... :@

bixie went......... he will be going nuts.........

This was even more unprofessional than Telford but this time the responsibility rests with management. How could he justify Richards at CB? He became a sacrificial lamb - responsible for at least two of their goals but you can't blame him - it was the manager's decision to play the smallest guy in the team in the middle of the defence.

Only Briscoe and Ajala came out with any credit - the rest of them were pretty clueless.

It was so obvious that That horrible little man (Hawley) would punish us and he ended up the difference between the to sides - it is a bitter pill to swallow.

Gutted and angry - very angry!
Phil
