I'm not a big fan of "time-travel teams", so all of mine come from the halcyon days when competing for promotion to League 2 was something to be proud of!

1.John Dunn

2.John Bond 4.John Benson 5.Reg Wyatt 3.Bill Kitchener

7.Dougie Clarke 6.John Smith 10.Tommy Mitchinson 11.Tony Scott

8.Tommy Spratt* 9.Robin Stubbs*

The above team is a combination of players from different seasons and eras.

*SAS (Spratt and Stubbs) were the goalscoring combo that fired us to promotion in the 65-66 season. Sadly, Tommy Spratt couldn't find his Division IV goalscoring form at Division III level.

Olejnik

Gurney, Saunders, Elliot, Gibbs

Goodridge, Russell, O'Kane, Loram

Jack, Graham

If I was picking a team to do well, I'd probably have to leave out Russell or O'Kane and bring in a defensive minded midfielder.....maybe Micky Holmes or Sean Joyce.

This team would attack but probably get caught on the counter every time.
TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.

I wasn't going to play this game but as my memories go back even further than the times when Frank O'Farrell was manager, I thought what the hell. So here goes -
Chairman: Tony Boyce
Manager: Frank O'Farrell (if Frank wasn't available, I'd have a shortlist of Cyril Knowles, Leroy Rosenior and Kevin Hodges)
Team: Terry Adlington; John Bond, Colin Bettany, Ken Brown, Brian McGlinchey; Jimmy Dunne, Tommy Minchington, Don Mills; Ronnie Shaw, Sam Collins, Robin Stubbs
Also in my squad I'd have John Turner, Paul Gibbs, Andy Gurney, Eunan O'Kane, Alex Russell, John 'Smudger' Smith, Rodney Jack, David Graham and Davy Caldwell. Yeah, yeah - I know it's a big squad but with that team winning week after week (even against Telford & Alfreton) gates would swell to over 15,000 even in lethargic South Devon so finances would be okay.

I feel sorry for young whippersnappers like yellowfever who have seen so few decent players in yellow shirts that they have to include Bedeau !!!! Bliddy 'ell - you were born three decades too late !!!

:) Pretty much the team I would choose Trojan-that midfield with Clarke and Scott supplying the ammunition from the wings for Stubbsy, was the best ever.

I would switch Eric Welsh for Scotty on the left wing and possibly put Alan Welsh in for Spratty as well - but apart from that you have a top-team there my friend!
