Former player Ian ......
Met up with a former Torquay player in boots and laces after yesterday's match, his name was Ian but can't remember his surname, he played for Gateshead as well. He played in the 1991 season for us, he is good mates with Chris Myers and Sean Joyce , Paul hall. Anyone remember him ?

Bingo, that's the one. I found it hard to actually remember him, but he did say he was involved in the warnock era and the famous win at Carlisle. Any thoughts on him as a player. Thankyou ScottScott Brehaut wrote:Ian Johnson?

Possibly Ian Weston.
He signed from Bristol Rovers (I think it was) for £2000 and had the biggest thighs I think I have ever seen on a player, and complimented Sean Joyce as a tough tackling duo in midfield.
I think he later played for Bath City and became a physio.

Sorry, hadn't noticed the post above that said it was Ian Johnson.

Ian Johnson had a pony tail I think, played at centre half......and that's it.
Always preferred Ian Hathaway.

The player we signed for half a dozen football's was, I believe, called Paul Robinson (or something similar) and was signed from Whitley Bay
