Hi, I think this is a good idea and congratulations for organising it. I do have a couple of questions though, and a suggestion.
The money is taken on a direct debit basis, on what day of the month is it to be taken? (I like to know and budget accordingly)
How will the draw be made? Will it be on the pitch á la 50/50?
I take it the money raised it being put towards the kitty to help buy shares in the club, will there be any notification of how much money is raised on a month by month or is that sort of financial info only available to TUST members?
As for a suggestion, whilst searching for the TUST site I happened upon this page on the official site http://www.torquayunited.com/fans/supporters-club/
which despite reading http://www.torquaysupporters.co.uk actually navigates to .com. While I noticed this, it may be worth contacting the webmaster of the official site and getting him to ammend the link as those who are less computer savvy might not make it to your site.

Just another small point - I have searched through the TUST website looking for the names of the Committee members. I may have missed the page (quite likely in my rushed search) .. but a page called 'Who We Are' or the likes would be good, naming the:
Chairman
Secretary
Treasurer
Committee Members
+ any others of relevance.
After all - it is nice to know who you are dealing with!
(I apologise if these names already appear on the TUST site somewhere)

HI RussianGull.... Thanks for pointing out the broken link... I have emailed the webmaster at TUFC and asked him to correct it asap.
The DDs are setup to take the money immediately (I think it takes 3 working days to actually process). The main reason is let people who register to play to be included as soon as possible in the next draw... the only exception is for registrations made after the 20th of each month. Its not perfect but we have tried to keep our admin to a minimum. The easiest way is to register during the time frame that suits your budget.
Because the draw takes place on the 25th of each month the pitch is not an option for us... plus the winning numbers are automatically generated online... using the same method as the Kiddy lottery... http://www.random.org ... so in all probability we will be using a smart phone with internet access... I have a request in to the club for someone from the ream to do the draws... and our first one is on Sunday 25th.
As soon as Lloyds Bank sort out the new mandates a summary of ALL our financial transactions will be included in our monthly newsletter to TUST members.

With all this talk of the TUST becoming involved if there should be a takeover in the air - people do need to know who is who.
I think the media call it transparency!

Tried signing up yesterday but there was an error after entering my details on go cardless.
Just joined TUST. This is a great idea and if we are to have more of a say about how our club is organised, we need you all to join up for the bargain basement price of £2 per month. Exeter (hiss) have over 1000 members. so come on you Yellows!
