The only thing that I have a problem with in this postponement is the apparently poor communication with Lincoln City, which doesn't reflect well on the club.

I guess that we have made no effort whatsoever to get the game on and the groundstaff have probably done nothing to get the pitch ready.
Man City v Barcelona on the tv, people saving their money till saturday and a postponement which will give us a big advantage on saturday.
Its a great decision for us, fresh players,no injuries and no more suspensions - I think anyone other than PR who thinks "this is purely down to the weather" is a bit mad.
Remember that match postponed against Barnet in April the other year, when we had no first choice keeper. Good old weather. Incidentally, this postponed match is getting more response than a normal match thread :}

Besides every other reason given on this thread, if a game had gone ahead tonight the likelihood of a postponement on Saturday would be very real. In any case, the pitch on Saturday will be heavy and cut up. Will this deter Hargreaves? The tactic bereft plonk will still get his players (who can't string 2 passes together or keep possesion) to play tippy tappy.

:-/

In every case, it's not the short ball, it's not the long ball,
IT'S THE F*****G RIGHT BALL AT THE F*****G RIGHT TIME.

After Saturday's two pitch inspections and stories about if there was more rain before 3pm the match would have been called off my money would have been on Wrexham not playing tonight.
See that their team tonight shows six changes from their side which started against us. Would seem Wrexham's priority is the 2nd leg.

It is bad to see the Lincoln game postponed due to bad weather, I feel the pitch should have been covered prior to the rainstorms and I hope the Wrexham game in the trophy on Saturday goes ahead and isn't postponed because if it is it would equal two home games in a row postponed which would be a disgrace

The best result we could have hoped for, no excuses for Saturday.
Fresh players, no injuries/ suspensions, the pitch should be in good condition without the mid week game being played on it, all without risking any league points.

Balls out for a Trophy final!

It has to be understood the club does NOT own a set of waterproof pitch covers, it only has frost covers which do not protect the pitch against prolonged rain. The bigger point for me is, this winter has been relatively dry, yes we know there are underlying problems with the pitch on the Bench side, however with hardly any rain fall over the last few months, how's two days rain rendered our pitch unplayable?

What a stupid thread - look at the overall picture and you might understand why this game suddenly got postponed. Nice to see us wising up for a change

And funnily enough Wrexham appear to be playing their youth side tonight!

What are you suggesting brucie the club are glad the match is postponed and got a temporary ref from Devon to call the match off. Knowing in hindsight they wanted this rearranged match changed due to the trophy 2nd leg

Who's got the moral high ground here? Them for playing their "youth side" or us for having a"dodgy" postponement?

Looks to me each side has cancelled each other out and the sheep shafters of North Wales still have the advantage of being in the lead 2-1.

Poetic justice will out and may the best deceivers win.

If it is to be the "best deceivers" to win Troj, then it's bound to be us....
We have deceived everyone this season by pretending to play football.
