He's made mistakes for sure but he's had his hands tied since day 1 and who do we think we could attract to the club who could do any better?
I've not posted on here for a while, so I thought I'd put my tuppence worth in.

In short, I agree with SG. Yes, CH is not entirely blameless in the current sorry state we find ourselves in, but changing managers will not address the issues that are causing these problems.

Remember, most of our current problems started approx 3 years ago, long before CH was a twinkle in anyone's eye for the managers position. Any new manager taking over from CH will still have the same team, same budget (by all accounts the square root of fu<k all) and by default, the same issues to deal with. If CH was to go, who do you think (and be realistic) will want the job under the current circumstances?

As for the board, I'm not familiar with what occurs at the boardroom level and will not even try to elaborate on here. However, this is where any assessment on the problems at TUFC should start and Thea, bless her, has identified this already and has got the ball rolling with Kelvin coming on board. All I/ we can hope for is that this assessment is concluded sooner rather than later and identifies what is going wrong so measures can be put in place to mitigate them. We can then hope for some stability and get some positivity back to our club.

To put my head above the parapet even more, my last thought is for us, the fans. Whenever I leave a match I feel that we are becoming more and more part of the problem with TUFC at the moment. Yes, I appreciate that we all have a right to an opinion and to disapprove with the way the team is playing at the minute, but I feel that its started to get out of hand.

Think of Angusgate last week. The lad got fined and suspended for 2 weeks because he retaliated to some vile abuse from the Pop. Yes, you can argue that he shouldn't have retaliated, but why give out that level of abuse in the first place. Has that supporter been banned for 2 weeks - probably not. We as fans don't seem to be helping the cause at all. We're just adding to it.

Generally agree with the points, but important to to make the distinction Gus got banned for being a stupid idiot, swearing at the referee and picking up his 10th booking of the seasons. I hope he was fined for that as well as the fan incident. To be honest, I was personally more annoyed at him for picking up a 10th booking for dissent than shouting at the fan!

Anyway, back on topic. Yes please resign Chris, thanksloveyoubye.

I was told by someone close to Angus that his fine and suspension was solely for retaliating to the abuse from the Pop.

" I would suggest TUFC's main issue is with picking a decent manager than the contract we give them."

And there lies the problem, and why you don't offer any contract to anyone where they get a years salary or whatever when you need to sack them. Offer them 1 year. There will be plenty of candidates. And before someone says they wont be of the right calibre, our record on "calibre" hasn't been good with these contracts so why bother! A lot of theses guys will have the bullshit at interviews, I can just imagine it! So its all a punt really, and why nearly every football supporters forum is littered with these discussions

Just to tidy this up for any readers who may be confused, here is the link to the FA suspensions list confirming it's a normal suspension

Thanks for clearing that up KR :-D Looks like my source wasn't 100% accurate with their facts :(

I still think the abuse he received was out of order and uncalled for though.

We need to ensure that we're actually playing Conference football next season, let alone talking about the position of our manager who has a poor budget with poor players.

Isn't that a truly damning statement to have to make? It used to be unambitious to announce that remaining a Football League club was a priority - now it is staying in the Conference. This division is so awful, if the Football League is beyond us, Conference National, Conference South, Evo-Stick...it's all the same, it doesn't matter which one we are in. It's non-league hell.

If CH stays the gates will continue to drop alarmingly. He has to go or our club will die.

The most important thing now ( sadly) is to just make sure that we don't get sucked into a relegation battle. Unlikely though some may think it is, it is not unknown for a club seemingly "safe" in mid table - to drop like a stone and end up being relegated on the last day. We only need to look at what happened to Bristol Rovers last season! The signs are there, based on recent form, that this side is capable of going through the rest of the season without garnering too many more points and the last two home games have shown us what they are capable of!

I would like to think that we may have enough points already (46) to see us home but you never know what the teams currently occupying the bottom four spots might be capable of producing in the run in and statistically we probably need a couple more wins to be sure.

As for Chris Hargreaves position, I think it's probably all pretty academic now in the light of Thea's announcement. I can't imagine that she would want her last meaningful act as Chairman to involve the sacking of her "friend" Chris Hargreaves and not only that but why should she increase the debts owed to her by the club by finding more money to sack him when she is already in for up to £3 million!

So, like it or not, I think Chris Hargreaves will stay in place for the remaining two months of the season. As to whether he will be here next season may well depend both on who takes over in the summer and how well (or not) we finish the season. Any "new" owners will certainly want to look at improving our League position next season ... whether they see TUFC being able to achieve that under Chris Hargreaves only time will tell.

Do not sack CH unless it is obsolutely necessary! I repeat!..........Do not sack CH unless it is obsolutely necessary!

Please wait for the future Chairperson to have this responsibilty.
We do not and can not afford another mistake from this current board.

Let us hope we can amass a further 4 -6 points in the next 11 games and then let others decide CH fate.
Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. :goal:
